Good Quote On Value Proposition Every year I try to notice and record the best bull$&@# quote from vendors. The winner this year: Vendor (broker): Who are you trading with? Me: I trade the eminis through IB Vendor: What do you pay there? Me: Depends on the contract - between $3.6 and $4.3 Vendor: Well, I can offer you $4.50... and we are just about as good, right??
Yep, he still promoted prestine, and also HLV. Really good talker, but too much BS for those who know.
Did any one go to the HLV semainar on sunday Look,s like they r paying people on time who r trading with them Did any one go for their seminar - ?????????
I attended the first Stridsman presentation and can't say I cared for it; I may have been predisposed as I cared little for his first book. (At the presentation, I was the one who complained about his data only going back to 2001 on his volatility study.) I'll go take a look at the web site with an open mind. I can always learn something. I was much pickier this year than previous years. I also saw Najarian, Altucher and Howard Simons, all very interesting and worthwhile. There was an interesting presentation by Fimat on position margining, something we'll be hearing about in the future. David Aronson gave a presentation on an interesting topic but it was a little too general.
It was great to see everyone at the Expo. I met some fellow ET'ers which is always fun. Good to see you again Surf. Yeah, there women there were something else. I mean you have to go for that alone. Come on guys, how many times in your life are you going to be able to go up to a hot chic and talk shop with her and have her undivided attention. Shame on you guys that didn't go. I hope to make it back to NY again soon.
he played some clip about some unusual activity he detected for certain stock, I wished I was subscribed to his service so I had a proper execute "look, he said it is hot" to go all in and that is all I am going to say
It was interesting for what it was worth to see what type of traders are out there. Bumped into Jack there... We were both like wtf???! In a good sense tho... HAHA. Go Figure! We got a kick out of the presentation simply because Jack had spent a bit of time chatting with them offline in Vegas. Last time, Vegas, one of them was waiting for their "fast car" to come in. I think it was the Goldman guy if I recall correctly. Having never been to any such trading expo before, it was interesting to see all the vendors. I had to give some of them their usual what they can do to improve after they gave me their shpeal about their platform. Woodies stage presentation was interesting to take a stroll through. I was hoping to find an ET corner but couldn't find one... Perhaps ET traffic for the quarter was down from a year ago and thus had to cut costs... :-D What is the cost for a corner???
I do something similar in ES futures (bid-ask analysis on large trades) to what Najarian does in options, so, afterwards, I asked him what his experience has been with doing his "Heat Seeker" (call activity) and "Depth Charge" (puts) on index options. He said that he can't get good results on indexes that he does on individual stock options.
