Anyone getting tired of all this Obama hype?

  1. We have already had a revolution of sorts, a revolt against the republican party.

If on 9/12/03 I were to ask what the odds were of a man black in color, with a Muslim middle name and Islamic teaching in his background becoming president, you would have probably said that nothing short of a revolution of sorts would allow that to happen in white Christian America.

Blame a weak democratic party, and an ever weaker republican party who put up candidates who did not appeal to the masses except on face value...

Government is a reflection of the people in America and their willingness to settle for less...

America has been an image over substance country for a long time now, going all the way back to the B actor Reagan, and before him the Camelot image of Kennedy.

  3. Thanks for the compliment. I'm pretty sure you are younger than me, so you'll have me beat when it comes to youth and brains. This is a good thing.

  4. This is ridiculous. The press have been doing nothing of the kind. For God's sake, he hasn't done anything yet.

What they have been doing is fawning all over him because he's the first black president in history. That's what the hype is about. And what about that don't you understand? We're 60 years away from blacks not being able to drink at the same water fountain, and now a black man is President of the fucking country. There are a lot of social and political ramifications here, both at home and abroad. There's no guarantee that he's going to be making the right decisions - he could well fuck things up (although how he could fuck them up more than his predecessor, I'm not sure).

Libtards bitched like crazy when Bush spent money on his inauguration... now... it's different, it's Obama!!

The guy can't even prove he was born a US Citizen!! This shit should be fun to watch as the country spirals downward under the new socialism... you know, the one that works, because Americans can make it work!!

I remember that, liberals were writing columns about how much poverty and disease Bush's inauguration money would cure. Typical dumbass leftism, and now that Obama's costs about three times as much these same people proclaim it is time to celebrate.

Weren't we just pissed about some wall street business party? But wait, it's ok if you are a democrat liberal.

This is ridiculous. The press have been doing nothing of the kind. For God's sake, he hasn't done anything yet.

But what the press does is when he does or says nothing when asked to respond, they say it's an 'intelligent measured response'. He is simply good at sounding like a leader, the real role will expose him.

I just find it amazing that the world is actually waiting with breathless anticipation to inauguration day. Like I said, this has got to be some kind of mass delusion driven by the fact that he is black. The media is simply falling over themselves in their efforts to lionize this guy - a man who has not even served one full term as senator.

I really wonder if the bubble starts to burst once he's president and once his approval ratings come out. Remember, almost half did not vote for him.
