Ok...Tried something this morning...My wife gets these health pills from Advocare...took two things called CATALYST...they have all sorts of _____Rine's in them including 50mg of Taurine.... it said take two to thee prior to work out...i took two to be safe...I just had the best workout in years!!...In stead of running 20 minutes to start...I ran 20 minutes at a 2.0 incline...Instead of three sets on 4 different parts, I did 4 sets on 8 parts and I could have done more but didn't want to over do it to start...I ended the workout with ab crunches and then a 3 minute run ... Im officially on the supplement band wagon...Unless of course I get the shits today and find out those things cause heart attacks and cancer...Anyone have infor on the do's and don'ts plus the dangers???
You missed a few but that's pretty much it. It's chemical crap, nothing more. If you ever watch one of these being made, it's pretty obvious this is barely food. Those are good bars, I used to eat the first one. I don't care much for the second one cause of "xylitol". But in general, I'm down with any food bar based on nuts for protein sources and raw food. I only buy these now: http://www.gnufoods.com/ourproducts/. Psyllium is the best type of fiber out there. I only like protein in bars to offset the sugar and starch, but anything with that much quality fiber is even better. If you want protein, eat protein from real food. Your average egg white is a superior source to any protein bar out there. Whey is the best source, but consuming pure whey, not exactly pleasant. Tough to get also.
Some flaws in that diagram and this is one of the biggest problems with today's health gurus who think they know but never investigate the whole picture. Nothing wrong with animal fats as long as the animal is healthy. Human brain was able to evolve due to wild game meat, mainly the omega fats. Take a grass fed cow and compare it to a grain fed cow and there will be a significant difference in the fat structure. Due to the special rules on raising Bisons, their meat is probably the best red meat in the world. Great source for protein, nutrients and proper fats. Easily digestible. That being said, same goes for salmon. Unless you eating wild salmon, you're eating crap. Often, almost toxic crap. It's funny to see all these health meals made with commercially farmed salmon. Nothing wrong with dairy, if it's from the right source. Grass fed, properly graised, non-pasteurized and non-homogenized. Sadly, this is barely existent in the western society. But it's out there. The whole soy movement is even worse. The soy industry is huge in this country, and almost all of their soy is GMO sh*t. Let alone that the Asians knew hundreds of years ago that soy is not meant to be consumed in large doses. It is also meant to be fermented for long periods of time, to get rid of the Phylates (which ironically are a natural self defense mechanism). Soy protein isolate is really controversial. Tempeh and Tofu is where it's at, assuming proper fermentation and moderation. Interestingly enough, the buddist monks consume very large doses of soy to stay celibate and kill sex drive.
To be honest I can't understand how some people find any muscles on a chick attractive esp those in the photo above. Give me a Calista Flockhart / Esther Canadez / Katrina Campins type wench any day.
Yeah, your types are cheap dates. 1/2 glass of water and they're stuffed. You'll have no competition from me bro. I don't necesarily like to pass time by counting the protruding ribs on my women.
Very good post.. I would like to add that soy has isoflavones that mimick estrogen in your body. Soy is BAD news for men.
Exactly.. I like a woman with a little muscle density. A woman who can ride me for more than a couple minutes without getting winded.. I like a woman who can go fishing with me during the day, go eat a 4 course Thai meal, and still have the energy to come home and screw my brains out til 6 in the morning.. Average Mary can't do that....
From my understanding Catalyst is merely a concoction of amino acids.. They could definitely help boost your energy levels, especially if you've been following a poor diet. Glutamine helps you with energy levels and mainly recovery. I personally like Vitamin B injections for energy.
I guess the beauty is in the eyes of the beholder... I see a great looking blonde in incredible shape (but not overdoing it) and a nice chest as well... There's some motivation for the gym if there ever was some...
