No one here is rich just lazy bastards. And yes, I workout twice a week doing calisthenics, pull ups, push ups and jump rope.
Heres a question, to which i dont beleive ive ever gotten a straight answer-not conclusive, at least, from doctors or otherwise. When i was working out regularly, (and any other time i did that kind of output workload) i had a problem with blacking out. It occured most frequently with high intensity muay thai bagwork, and most heavier weight sets-particulary if i was pushing it speed wise, breaks in between didnt seem to be a factor, neither helped nor hindered. Also didnt matter, if i actually felt puffed or gasping for air or not; the same workout a few days beforehand, fly through it, no probs, same again few days later, blam, blackout. Fortunately, i could usually feel it coming, begin to feel lightheaded, just before lights went out and lost all balance, so normally id grab the nearest thing or get down on the ground as quickly as possible. But it seemed to come out of nowhere, no change in diet or routine, but sometimes it was a consistent factor, other times things were fine workout after workout, with the same workload. Any ideas? Just to define, i mean a complete loss of all balance, and vision. Sometimes took minutes to recover and be able to stand up, or see clearly.
Wow, this appears to be a neurological problem. Have you been to a neurologist yet? Have you ever taken any bad blows to the head? Concussions? It sounds like a preventative measure being triggered by your brain. Either that, or some damage. How would you rate your overall physical condition on a scale from 1-10. (10 being professional athlete)
This was when i was training a lot, i was very fit at the time, (maybe 7 on that scale at the time) fittest ever actually, thanks largely to water polo-which i quit when they were going to join a comp instead of amateur, no way was i swapping my board shorts for some baywatch budgie smugglers. Yeah, ive had skull fractures, numerous severe concussions and collosal aggregate blunt force head trauma, prior to that, (that point where i was fit) but all cat scans etc appear within normal ranges. And the same thing used to happen before i sustained major injury. I could never afford a REAL specialist though, and government docters have a habit of looking the other way. When i asked a doc, he said" your pushing it too hard", well thanks doc. Then why could i do the same workout, with different outcomes, why didnt that happen to anyone else? Theres only a few basic components, right? -Not enough blood getting to the brain, -that blood not carrying enough oxygen, or -sudden, drastic depletion of blood sugar?Im not diabetic though. Never lost consciousness, not at all, just vision fades to black and the balance thing.
Lol, i'd probably HAVE to be whipped to do much exercise now. Also, i meant 8-9 , not really 7, (everyone likes to think their better than they were/are) , if it werent for the blackouts, which as you can imagine throw a spanner in the works and effect confidence somewhat, maybe id have kept in shape, who knows. I just find it odd , people who go to gyms and such wouldnt have heard of this, but i havent heard of anyone with the same problem myself. Ive seen people vomit from exertion, (done it myself-football is a stupid game) , and hyperventilate, but not black out on the spot and fall down, fully conscious . Also, the fitness level doesnt appear to matter-same thing when unfit, no more or less frequently than when i was in top shape. Probably getting off topic though, wondered if anyone had some ideas. And before any jokes about possible brain damage, well, you post here too
