Or you can use modern science and get the PH drops and the alkalizing supplement and do it that way. Make sure you get at least 2-3 bottles of the PH drops, they go faaaast. Believe it or not, you will stop craving acidic foods wants your pH is back to an alkaline state as crazy as that sounds...
Whats your take on ligament and joint pain....(and those pesky little attachment muscles, that invariably sack out long before the major muscle groups even get a burn) acidity is a known factor in that as well, correct? Ive heard of shark cartilage, and glucosamine compounds helping, but this ph thing is intriguing, (as per pm) all the same problem?
Most ligament/joint pain is due to tight muscles which is due to pockets of acid swelling the muscle up. Get a nice deep tissue massage, alkalize your body and most joint pain will disappear. If, however, you have done permanent damage to the joints, only a replacement surgery can help you there. Ligaments are a bit more tricky. Acidity is where I would look first, however, if that doesn't work, a moderate dose of anavar (20-40mg/day) for 3-4 weeks would surely aid in recovery.
I could not agree with you more. I switched to Hindu (Furey) pushups and squats, achieving dramatic results. These exercises "woke up" a lot of different muscle groups not worked by machines. Change is good. I try to mix it up every four weeks or so.
As a matter of fact, this is a very similar routine that NFL Pro Bowl Safety Troy Polumalu does.. He never lifts free weight, only bodyweight exercises and he is one of the best athletes in the league.
Matt, thanks for the great information. I have heard that the magic number for a well-defined six-pack is a body fat percentage of 8%, regardless of your ab workout intensity. Is that true?
Oh cool. Usher too. I channel-surfed into a fitness segment on television, and there he was doing a Furey pushup.
There is way too much dis-information from the heavy marketing fintness gurus here. All you need is squat, deadlift, bench press with free weights. Military press is good too. If you think you got what it takes, get into kettlebells. That stuff is no joke. Push ups, pull ups & dips. Many degress of difficulty you can add to each by weights or by gymnastic difficulty. Like handstand knuckle push ups, planche, jacknife push ups. Many variation of pulls up also, but adding weights is the easiest way. Abs are key. Situps and crunches are a waste of time. Learn how to do dragon flags, proper leg raises, ab wheel reps (no knees). Diet is basic, there are verbiages from hundreds years ago about leaning out. Less starch and sugar, more protein & fibrous nutrient dense vegetables. It only gets complicated because of the commercialization of the food industry. As for those idiotic detox pads, man that's just snake oil. Simply drinking mineral artesian water will alkaline you, there are PH strips you can test it by. There is a balance between acidic and alkaline, all protein is acidic. But too much food that was originally alkaline has been turned acidic. That's the problem. Learn how to fast to detox, it has always been the best way. Juicefasting works wonders. Colon cleanse is a must. Liver cleanse, kidney cleanse and lymph node cleanses are relatively important. Almost everything can be cleansed by proper fasting, just takes time. People have little idea about the difference between real starvation and simple hunger. Takes a while to transition your body into a state where it has to start eating itself. The process is quite different from what "experts" think happens. The problem is that storage fat is often so badly contaminated, the body has problems using it. Physique, raw strength and real health do not have a lot of correllation. Genetics and race come into play a lot.
