Yup , I've been telling you how to do it all this thread... TWS is a single server 2 NT are the clients they connect. Make the client id different.
Yep different client id's was the first thing I did as per instructions from IB. Problem is that to connect to IB the NT platforms start up TWS. We get TWS saying continue logging in or exit application? No matter which one is chosen to end up only one NT is connected. We are also running IBC too to keep the connection going.
Thanks anyways Traider we got a second login going for the same IB account and will try that as the other way does not work for us.
I see, I forgot to mention that I used 2 computers. So 2 computers with 2 NT. Just start a dummy TWS connecting to the demo account on other computer, but configure it to connect to the correct IP address. Another way is to use dummy demo TWS on 1 computer. Run IB gateway to connect to real account and get both NT to connect to the IB gateway(Not tested but quite sure this will work too).
