anyone can recommend a trading coach or therapist that works with self sabotage specifically?

    damn this post took off.
    to add more context.
i had to pull myself out of a deep hole multiple times in my life since i was 12 or so with no help. learned alot of psychology. pulled myself out from many holes. went to few therapists who turned out to be useless because they were not experienced(insurance referals)
self sabotage is the one hole i cant pull myself out of since obviously its purpose is to sabotage and its very good at what it does. and the stock market is absolutely the best at bringing all that to the surface.
i dont blame the market for anything. this is the reason why im still here because its exposing things that are well hidden and i have to work through that.
the problem is that now instead of food addictions or coffee addictions that self sabotage used in the past now its 1000s of dollars real or paper trading.

it seems like sabotage doesnt give a fcc whether im trading real money or paper it still does what it do.
and i tried to pull myself out of that hole and im sure i can eventually but i dont have 10 years anymore to do that like i used to.
thats why im trying to find a therapist to actually speed up the process so i dont turn myself into a project car sitting in a driveway for next 10 years. i want to start making money already i feel like i understand enough about the market to be able to be profitable.

whether i call it fear of success or self sabotage its the same thing.
i sabotaged my success in every field and get stuck at certain level unable to move forward where things just start to happen too often to keep me from moving up.
in trading that shit shows up instantly because the result ofthe mistakes is instant loss of money so its more obvious to me when its happening.

this is my latest paper trading account. my self sabotage was caught offguard.
i was losing in my real account and hopped on to paper trading, and for 2 weeks i was making right trades every trade was green i avoided looking at my account and as soon as i looked and saw that i was up to 16k from 5k the next day every trade was red for a week no matter what i traded.

even an online therapist who specfically works with self sabotage. because trading coaches are too damn expensive

  2. "I cant..", well, that's self sabotage right there. I wouldn't talk to myself like that; it's the glass half empty side of things. "I'm working on.." or "trying to.." are much better for the subconscious

Have you tried journaling and reviewing your trades?

Save the $$ on a therapist.

You've already proven your resilience in life itself. You got this yourself

    I do
I have the tradervue account and journals and stacks of sticky notes.
I blackout when the sabotage kicks in. Not like everythibg turning black but like someone else steps in and i get locked out of my own brain.
And all the shit i set up to keep me on track becomes invisible.
All the journaling plans and sticky notes become invisible
They are literally stuck to my monitor

This is the final boss of my problems. I pulled through almost everything on my own and i do trust myself but i just dont have time to fight the final boss on my own so i need to join a fireteam on this one. Because im fighting something that knows all my tricks

With all due respect, you don’t trust yourself even with honouring a stop loss and risk management plan (if you have one).

Stop kidding yourself, you need to join gambling recovery group. In case you do, and send regards to Padu.:)

Um using stop losses is gambling. You should be willing to hold the position... If not, why are you even buying it?

  7. Might I ask, what are the two mistakes that happen to you most often?

No one's perfect. For me, it is:
Holding a position after more than 2 pushes against me and
Entering too early back with the trend after a medium strength push countertrend

    Hi mute.
Before I start I assume you love trading and wish to continue.
So regarding trading, where do you think you are the strongest, the best at?

It is possible you are weak at executing trades but good at programming.
Maybe team up with someone where you work together in colloberation.

Other than that maybe another reason is you are overextending yourself, ie too much on your plate, attempting to juggle too many balls in the air at one time, losing focus, becoming distracted.

It is possible self sabotage is not the problem, you just think it is.

If you are not very good at some type application, then that's not your strength so look at what is and build on that.

    As far as trading specifically
Normally im very good at exiting at the tops
Im not good at spotting a good entry because im not good at seeing the bottom reversals or pullbacks
So i wait too long to enter but i still make profits because im much better at exits.

    When sabotage kicks in
I enter at the exact tops
Every single time seconds before it reverses and crashes down
Also trading the back side and entering at the top of a small uptrend before it continues on its way down. Also presicely right before it starts dropping
I went over my trades msny times to notice my normal trading vs sabotaged trading
Im well aware that im making a bad entry but my thinking process just collapses in a moment and i buy right at the top and ride it down and i cant get myself to sell not because i dont know that it will continue but because my brain just freezes like what ths fuck is happening right now why did i just do that

And yes i have alot on my plate.
I had alot on my plate and there is nothing i can do about that.
Waiting until the conditions are perfect will never happen
I have to deal with life and trade or i will never get to trading
