  1. And so the War is on - ad infinitum, you can be sure.

Look for Apple to be coming out with its updated OS and hardware by late-June, possibly earlier.

  3. Yes, we will too, for several years at least. In the meantime our Linux fleet will get more attention (didn't need any these years) and maybe a serious look at Mac. I think we won't make it to Vista....

Looks like I will not be upgrading to Vista, instead I will probably put that money into the new Intel chip coming out later this year.

  5. Ha !

    Did I just here correctly?

They spent 6 billion dollars on development. :p

Oh.. that's a riot. Reviewers are saying it's mostly eye-candy, and not even worth spending the money to upgrade from XP. :p

  8. Fortune Magazine has this Vista article with review. The bottom line seems to be coming up pretty much the same for most Microsoft hype and wait-weary PC users.

Be sure to hit all of the story links. Dell and Mac OS afficionados will learn/recall a distinct possibility for the not-to-distant future likely to come about from consumer and possibly business pressure...

    gnome, you reading this? :)

  9. Does anyone know how long I will still be able to get XP Pro? Let's just say I don't have my copy any more and I may to get one before I can no longer get one.

Both retail and OEM copies of XP Pro should be available for at least a year... then probably much longer on eBay.
