I would like to hear about your personal evaluation of this broker. The commission structure is a big argument. However, I think they still provide a lot of value regarding: Platform Functionality Superior Data for backtesting Developer Community and support from top educators/thinkers in the business Additionally, using Owndata or RT soft to bridge your IBKR account is a method mentioned before, but not suitable for HFT (obviously). But before you poo-pooh it's quantitative capabilities, know that Baruch and Carnegie Mellon are academic partners.
Pros Reliability / stability – excellent Execution / execution time – excellent Access to account / ability to withdraw money – excellent Fee structure – no complaints Cons Draw a TL..., or TLs on a bigger TF chart – then reduce the TF - the TL(s) will transfer to the smaller TF - (this is actually my biggest irritant/ complaint) After 9.0 – according to the TS Techs…, later releases do not support mobile trading – I can’t confirm because I am using 9.0 and refuse to load the later releases Overall – very satisfied RN
