Anybody running X-Trader on XP Home edition

  1. I'm thinking of switching brokers and would be using x-trader.

They say I need XP professional.

I'm currently running "TT_trader" with another broker on xp home sp2 with no problems at all.

So I don't get what using xp pro as opposed to home edition is going to do for me or why I would need it to run x-trader.

  2. I was using it a couple of years ago, it was just fine, no problems. I forget there is some minor functionality that doesn't work on XP Home, can't recall. Anthony at Velocity Futures told me what it was, you can look em' up and ask him.

  3. gnome

    gnome

Pro has better ecryption/security feature and has "remote desktop".

However since XP came out, there are several freeware VNC programs which do the same as remote deskkop.

You should be fine on Home.

  4. Thanks, I'm going to try it on xp home and see what happens.

If it doesn't work I guess I could always just buy an xp pro upgrade cd from amazon or something.

I'm not much of a software whiz.
