By the way Commisso, when did the Nasdaq get to 1088? Maybe six years ago! Are you sure you're a trader?
Yup, I got rocked by Klac yesterday! Tried to play a bounce. Should've stayed short but I haven't seen such wicked down moves in awhile. Thank god my max position was only 1000 shares or I'd be out homeless...
I agree with Don. Listed stocks are where the action is right now. You can find good trading stocks in many sectors. Nasdaq is limited to tech stocks to a certain degree, and they suck right now. other advantages trading listed stocks: easier to read the tape cheaper commissions at many firms more sectors to trade It was hard to make the change from nasdaq to NYSE but the only constant in trading is change.
Amen to that brother. It is all about adjusting the method to the current market to still find those high reward to risk opportunities every day.
That is exactly what it is about Tri... If you are not producing results than it is because your method is no longer viable in the current environment NOT because there are no opportunities within the market... THERE ARE ALWAYS OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN THE MARKET! You can't sit around and expect an indiffrent creature to adapt to your methods you have to adapt to its way... "To be a man of knowledge you must be light and fluid" --Carlos Casteneda Oh btw Tri thanks for the idea of the index cards I went out and bought lamenator and have been making cards for the past week PEACE and good trading, Commisso
Oh no big deal Don ... Just some index cards with some affirmations to keep me in the flow when I am out of it... If I feel myself forcing, or becoming attached to an opinion, overthinking/hesistating, that sort of thing... I'll take a few minutes to look over the cards... Oh and I also have all my levels for the S&P and NQ printed out and lamenated on big cards PEACE and good trading Don, Commisso
I use some post-its on my monitor to help me keep my focus. Sayings like "Don't average down losers", "Keep It Simple Stupid" and my personal favorite, "He who picks bottoms ends up with smelly fingers".
