Anybody else supporting Ron Paul for President '08?

  1. You're kidding - I love it.

That's my #2 reason for voting for him.

  2. So you support back alley abortions? Thats just dandy. Makes about as much sense as jailing a million pot smokers and having the tax payer pay for it. You cant stop abortion with laws, thats a proven reality. You only get to choose where they occur. Let me guess, you are very religious?

  3. Actually, his views, unless I am missing something, are not racist. He is actually stating the opposite: that it is wrong to be racist to a majority that is racist. His argument is purely moral and imo is difficult to argue against and is why we don't still have quotas today. He's just the only one with the cajones to say it.

    Here's an example:

  4. Being pro-life, I believe murder is murder. It really doesn't matter whether you do it in an alley or a sanitized doctor's office.

There is no good argument for abortion any more and it should, at best, be left up to the states which is Paul's argument and I applaud it.

  5. Its not murder if done early enough. I dont believe killing a plant is murder because it is not sentient. Same goes for cutting off my thumb, or losing a few skin cells each day, although they are all alive. A fetus becomes self aware at some point in time, but before that point, its just a piece of flesh. The potential to be sentient does not make it so.

Obviously, I wont change an irrational religious persons viewpoint though, since their belief system is not based in logic and fact, so ill leave at this, as not to derail the thread any further.

  6. Demagogue, my goodness man what is Bush and evil twin Cheney? Suppression of civil rights in the name of War on Terrorism. They were spying on the population before 911 at large.

Heck I would love it if Lou Dobbs were President. At least we wouldn't have some f*ckin sell out who is willing to pimp every one and their mother out ( this include Dems and Repubs) and pandering to every freakin'special interest group and corporate handout possible. That's the problem with this country there is no nationalism just a bunch of short sided BS! Whoever rights the biggest check gets their bill passed.

I only agree with a few things Ron Paul supports:

    1. No more IRS, they are the most dangerous group in the US. The can tax , take your stuff away, and some of them carry guns too! Flat tax, sales or based on income.

    2. Get out of Iraq and bring our troops home from overseas nations. It cost big bucks and imperialism is wrong and costly. This is part of the reason the world hates us. We topple governments in the name of democracy that serve our interests first. The Middle East never had a true democracy and they never will. The reason democratic countries whether they be a Republic like the US or parliamentary gov. like Canada or Europe is because they will of the ppl. wanted it. The VI Pres. we have says let's spread democracy to the Middle East. Never mind the fact that the majority didn't want it. The simply don't want to be beaten by their rulers. They are and always will be tribal people. The same ruler we have been supporting for at least 40 years. Give us your oil and cheap consumer goods and we will turn a blind eye to the fact you treat your ppl. like shit.

    3. Get rid of the Federal Reserve. They loan us our money at an % rate. WTF?

The Brits pulled out of Basra and things, in the short term, are better! Wow, what a surprise! Stop occupying a country and the ppl. won't blow you up.

These 3 things I completely agree with him, with my own added commentary for good measure. :p

What a callous, ill-informed and naïve view. Guess you believe that euthanasia’s ok too, as long as it doesn’t happen to you. Obviously you have never spent any time with those that have had abortions and suffer the permanent psychological scars of doubt and regret that are inflicted upon one’s life afterwards.

Thank your mom she doesn’t share your views.

Keenly aware of European history, the Founding Fathers were not in favor of the Federal Government issuing money. However, they realized it as a necessary evil and decreed, "money.. shall be gold and silver coin".

The Founding Fathers were adamantly against America having a Central Bank... for all the obvious reasons and to prevent what we have now.

I guess maybe as politicians and sheeple we just can't help ourselves. (Heavy sigh... :( )

  9. Ahhh, the intellectually inept crawl out of the woodwork as expected.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I've been around plenty of people who have had abortions and are far better for it. Of course when your mind is closed, it's impossible to see the benefits of the other side.

Let me guess, you are irrationally religious too. Right? RIGHT? Thought so.
