  6. after the first selloff after Durable Goods some of the worst chop I have seen just miserable! Everytime I wait for a break up or down just chopping me up I am done with this today. Should have just sold the spooz rally after number and sat in it!

  7. very choppy the last couple of days, Great volume in the 10Y today, if this keeps up I will flip my short position in the cme stock. I think people finnaly realized how bad volume had been in april and may, and are dumping cme stock.

  8. they realized that cmegroup killed part of the Tsy complex players (esp. 10/30Y spreaders) with the 30Y cut on tick size, difficulty to manage a limited 'window' vs. cash with just 5+5 levels, etc...however it's about 10 days that there are more lots on the stack..maybe some algos accounts are back.

  9. Hi guys - sorry for the silly question but I have never traded bonds. Just wondering how much I would have to have in an IB account to short one 30 year bond.

If I want to short long-term government bonds and hold it for a few years - what would be the best way of doing this?

  10. check your IB site for margin; usually it's in the $500/800 range for lot; about a multi-year strategy just remember to rollover your lots ...for example today is just one of those days :p
