Dude Sorry to hear about your loss. I made the trade work but only for a fraction of what I thought I could get out of my shorts. However you need to base your final trading decisions on WHAT YOU THINK and not what anybody else thinks. I'm really starting to get worried about my apr 114/118 10yr strangles (sold them at 111). My breakeven point is 119.23 but this bitch just refuses to go down!!! It's a really crowded trade though so I guess I shouldn't be suprised. YT
Saw this and thought it was worth sharing... ELX: Potential CME Rival Or Potent Laxative? http://www.theoptionsinsider.com/comment/?id=95 "One of the few CME executives to attend the [FIA] conference was CEO Craig Donahue. When Donahue was asked about the new ELX exchange, his response was both hilarious and somewhat crude. "ELX? You mean Ex-Lax, or whatever they are calling themselves," Donahue said during the "View From The Top" exchange leaders panel. "If I were them, I would have worked with my trademark and branding team to find a trade name that canât be found in the diuretic or laxative space.â And there was this yesterday.. Compensation down 24% for CME's chief executive http://www.chicagobusiness.com/cgi-bin/news.pl?id=28620
YT: Well said my man. I wound up having a decent day, after throwing in the towel on the rest of my shorts. I scooped a few 120 kind when the YM shit the bed. This is a wacky trade these days. I am flat and will take another look at these short later. good trading! el surdo
Surdo Nice job picking up a few bucks in bondo. This shit is crazy! What are your thoughts for tonight?
I would start selling them 120 '28 on a scale higher.....I would even sell some here if YM does not fall out of bed!
they grind up spooz and the curve can not sell but when spooz come off (the fixed income doesn't trust the rally) we rally, very interesting I guess wait for Philly Fed and Mis-Leading Indicators I don't know why we can't get through 120.08 area waiting for the shoe to drop! The mkts are anticipating a weak P fed I guess.
Interesting move before and after a basically inline Philly Fed number. Obviously they were punting something much worse. Anyone hear any rumors ahead of time? I was told there was one floating around that was lower but I didn't hear what the number was.
