Thanks for the guidance, DblArrow. I think I saw on an earlier post that simply moving to the 10 year isn't a solution because what you pointed out has affected the arb trading between the two. I'm not sure if the poster was annoyed with the day session liquidity of the 10 year or the overnight session liquidity. In your opinion, is the day session for the 10 year worthwhile for trading? Or has it been "ruined" like the 30 yr? Like I said to "Youngtrader" - if you are too busy for this right now with all that is going on, I understand. We can pick it up in a day or two. I am on the sidelines until I figure out where to set up my account.
The 10yr has much more volume and open interest than either the 30 or the 5. Not sure how the 5 is doing since its tick was cut in half also. I don't arb so I can't really speak to that. Unless people quit trading the US interest rates the volume will most likely remain in the 10 yr. I trade the 10yr almost exclusively - little slow today after the initial morning moves and will also be slow tomorrow until the Fed speaks. Hope this helps.
YM = ZB in size totally fu$ked! trading spooz and CL today treasuries suck all the banks and brokerages have no money they are not in there just prop firms trading today! (Which includes me) but you can get run over so fast in ZB and ZN it sucks no one can spread it at all!
I don't know. Just saying with all of the "de- leveraging" there are not as many players in the treasuries a lot of black boxes turned off very thin.
Well guys looks like they created a nice range with good S/R on the 10yr note to trade off of tonight. Long Bond broke some key trendline support intra day and I think that sets us up for continued weakness. Just have to see what happens. Inverted, did you get my PM?
