I'm not sure it's been long enough to really tell.

The Bondo is a whole new animal now, it trades like the 10 YR on ER2 crack.

You have to be a bit more nimble or you will get run over trading any kind of size. Friday was a great day with the volatility.

  4. If you tried with Mr. Barker & C. (Peter.Barker@cmegroup.com Director @ CME Group Interest Rates Products) , they are all 'Out of the Office'..

I believe I see the R your talking about, but I'm not too confident in much of an ES bounce here, unless maybe Friday's LOD holds.

If ZB breaks above 117'130 area it could easily get above 118'00.

  7. Yeah maybe not a pop right away longer term but I was talking about short term (tonight)

Covered my short at 117.04 Was just playing the gap fill right there. Might try to short some more around 117.09 as I think we are set up to have another leg lower tonight.

  8. YT- as you have seen anything and everything is possible in these markets tomorrow there could be a story on Ambac, or a CitiBank 30 Billion dollar write down or a another bull$hit treasury department sell off of short term paper like Friday don't make subjective observations in this market as Surdo said be nimble and don't stick your head out with an opinion as these markets whip around so much daily you will get killed! ES should go play with 1265-70 soon so that could mean a rally in the curve.

Thanks man and I know what your saying. Absolutely anything could happen in this type of environment. I have to say though this is absolutely nothing compared to the insanity of the grain futures!!! That kind of vol will about make you jump out a window!

I do agree with you though and am trying not to get a biased one way or another to tell you the truth. Im just sitting patiently and watching the dom trading what I see and not what I think.......but that can be tough to do as I like to always have an opinion.

I'm not quite so sure about the 10YR. On Friday, the slippage on my buy stop was more in one trade than IN ALL MY TRADES COMBINED FOR THE PAST 5 YRS. I kid you not. I noticed it late Thurs. night, but thought it was due to NFP day. But tonight, on the IB DOM, it is just as small. Early days, but I'm not a fan of this at all. Wonder if it's because of the vol(and resting order strategy), but Wed. it was fine than Thursday night.BOOM.no liquidity. This sucks..really sucks. I hate the comparison, but Vegas doesn't shut out the small fish(retail trader), leaving the big fish to play alone. I don't like it, gents. What's the situation here? Read where some I-banks are thinking of setting up a futures exchange(again) to counter the CME et al. Any long-time, bond BSD's pls chime in.
