Looks like the shorts are starting to run out of ammo....

Every time they go to 132'110-160 support area, it goes back up hard and they can't seem to break down through it.

Also, the 10 year note yesterday showed surprising increased BTC ratio 2.59 and the yield went down.....so people are still buying treasuries apparently even with inflation looming

Do you think it's gonna be rangebound btw 132-133 for a while or do you think someone will pull out some big guns and take this sucker below 132?

  5. If it can't go down it just may go up.

Hmmm, do you suppose that the support around 132'110-160 could be coming from the Fed (or parties acting at its behest)?

Well it's not really going up either. Today when it was tracking the SP500 it had more downside than upside (i.e went down with SP higher more than it went up with SP lower).

I honestly don't think at all that the fed is buying T futures. as far as i can see it's just bouncing of support because so far, all of the news has been bullish for ZB (higher yields for 10 yr notes, higher bid to cover ratios, sp500 trending downards) so there was no impetus to really take it DOWN past its support.

I would bet that if the sp500 rallies or if there is some positive news next week, ZB could break down.

the main worry for ZB shorts is i the FED actually ANNOUNCES a Treausry buyback program.

The othering thing to watch out for is the treasury budget on Tuesday. If its starting to get really big, that would mean a huge increase in T's and I don't believe there is enough demand of such a huge supply of T's at these low yields so I would expect yields to pop up somewhat.

At this point, looking at the fundamentals and the price action, I see very little upside to the ZB unless FED announces buyback

Getting killed so far. I thought i timed the short entry right, but after a few days of going my way it reversed big time today....

..... serves me right for trying to do this with futures : )
