  1. At CNBC this morning, this guy is saying EWO is the ETF for Austria Banks. But when I check, EWO is iShares MSCI Austria Investable Mkt Idx, not necessary for Austria banks.

    all I find is this:

  2. EWO has about 40% of assets in banking/insurance/finance.

(It's a country fund after all!).

If you want ETF's strictly for the banking sector you'll need to trade the ETF's listed on Xetra or NYSE Euronext. Plenty of ETF's there.

You can use IB or similar broker.

BTW, I think it's stupid to trade ETFs of foreign stocks that trade in a different time zone than US. Unless you enjoy getting raped. Use plenty of vaseline.

  3. good pt. The CNBC interview was w/ a guy caleld Brian elly w/ Kanundrum Capital, he recommend shorting it because Hungarian mortgages is w/ these Austrian banks. And the mortgage in total is $200B to $300B, if Hungary goes default, you know where this ETF will go
