things are good at rts...my bet, won't be called RTS in a month & traders will be able to use TT again
my hunch is also that RTS (mac) is sold. Wonder what happens to all our deals should someone else take over. I am not sure about going back to TT though. Say Man buy RTS, they have issues with TT aswell, isn't there a lawsuit going on there aswell. Refcopro was in house, a couple of things we suggested to improve the system they did. If you do that with TT, they develop your ideas and then sell them on to the whole market. Doesn't really give you an edge over anyone then does it? Refcopro was very cheap for us to use, does the job, and we weren't getting changed per exchange, like you do with TT.
i have had many issues with refco pro in the past, it has got better but remains less robust as an overall package. couple of nice features though. In time it may get better but the movement is still irratating some of the time and there are marginal updating issues. TT is still the leader unfortunately
whats the typical "desk" fee you guys or futures prop shops charge guys to trade ? I have heard thousands of USD a month ? how much volume at those deep discount commissions ( compared to typical Retail Commissions ) would a trader have to do to sort of make up for this charge?
what do you pay for a round turn on Eurex, CME or Cbot? Then i could tell you. Less than 75 eurocents Eurex, less than $1 Cbot and starting rate of $1.50ish for CME, those are all top rates. It all adds up. Put it this way my monthly rebate that we get (rebated from top rate down based on volume) pays my desk costs and enough left over for a monthly salary.
Pretty sure, traded all day today, plus have a dax position overnight which they are happy for me to run. Refco Trading Services will continue to exist whoever the owners, mainly because they offer the best arcade trading facilities around. My job is sound no matter how the new owners will be, you worry about yourself in future as i am losing no sleep.
Well my sources today told me that Refco Brentwood had blocked people withdrawing from their accounts? So true or false. Let me guess I suppose it's the flipper's fault eldrechr. Face facts Refco is in trouble.
