Why don't you guys stick to the gameplan on this forum and post your toys and stuff? That is the purpose of this forum. I don't get the jealousy--- WTF is that all about?
I don't feel that need for attention. I frankly got over watches a few years ago. I realized that a fancy watch only makes you look like a superficial douche. When i want to look like a superficial douche I wear a watch. And the only thing douchier than wearing a fancy watch is bragging about it. Like bragging about sleeping with a hot girl but you only laid her because she's an escort.
Ok, that's fair. But then, why are you reading this thread? the same thing can be said for any luxury item. You should be "beyond" us mere mortals who enjoy nice things... that is who this forum is for. with that said, 99% of the population would not recognize high end watch beyond rolex or another diamond covered nonsense. it is more like a tribal signaling device. I know i rarely get comments at all when i wear my best pieces no one knows what they are-- and that is the point. those who know know and i have made long term friends who i met via talking watches-- so i think you are being a little extreme. surf
Straw man argument. watch photos are fine. But to show a picture of your car and then mention the price of your watch is ghosh. Reminds me of a colleague who was on a golf course with clients and he was bragging about his Porsche Boxster only to find out the client was a pretty big PM who was worth like a hundred million dollars.
