i really could`nt say being that i focus exclusively on the indicies....ES,YM,ER2,QM,QH,QG.......my equities days are over for now on a daytrading basis being that i despise the specialist system & their ways to screw you any way they can.......& now with penny increments,forget about it.....if we traded in 1/8th`s & teenys.......fine.....but never on a penny basis.I traded common for a prop firm back in 2000 & found myself trading my own futures account 95% of the time so that was my out.
u draw fibos from the dailiy pivots? or maybe from some predetermined support-res like previous day's high/low/close? i thot i saw u tradin' currencies futs as well; u trade qm also? that's the best of the futs imo.
no prob billp bistream.....so far the best indicies for fibs are es & ym.....they are amazingly accurate & my profit targets are often hit to the tick on say a 50% pull back from the swing hi....eg. let`s say were trading off the lo`s from 1300 & we make the swing hi off the ma`s & put in a pivot/swing hi at 1305,more often than not,we`ll retrace back to 1302.50............so you measure from 1300 to 1305 & your 50% fib or profit objective #2 will be 1302.50...........PO #3 will be a tick ot two from the lo...say 1300.25 or .50...........that`s a good scale out method.....on a 10 lot,i`d kick 6 or 7 cars at 2.50 & ride the rest close to LOD. the above example is a profit taking example only. if we`re at a reversal time of day....10:30....2pm or 3pm i`d look for a CT trade set up,depending on sentiment for that particular day...............back to the above,po#2 is the most reliable & often just take that. i`ve been watching crude for a month now & am ready to roll once Qcharts gets the feed from nymex mini....any day now i`m told................no currencies yet for me. hope that was helpful.................active hi/lo`s are a different story for entries.
