Any traders that live within a 2 to 3 hour drive of DC willing to meet and take trading seriously?

Really not trying to be offensive just factual. Most people act as if they know everything and do everything perfect. That's not me and I am not greedy or prideful. It's not overly complicated. Cannot be responsible for all the other people that are jokers that make post like this and I refuse to. If someone else wants to lump me in that category I completely understand. Did the best I could do to let people know I am serious. All I can do is what I can do.

Sure, eventually after we work together if they feel comfortable helping me directly scale. I am 100% ok with that. If they want to work with me in some other regard, using my information but without me controlling any funds I am 100% ok with that as well. Regardless we need to form a relationship first and for them to verify proof of concept. Which my suggestion was to meet in person, as well as I am willing to trade real time with someone.

Right now all I am asking for is someone's time. What is my current direct intention? Very simple to get them to the point they understand and know I am onto something. Once they understand that, than moving forward is a seamless process and I'll have an actual ally to help me accomplish my goals. That's as clear as I can put it.

Yes, you are correct. It was slightly, but I also said and understood your valid suggestion. It was very blunt but I wasn't trying to make it personal and if you weren't either, than I am in the wrong here.

None the less you seem to take exception to the "light years" comment. Which I also took exception to. The reasoning why is because we both know how unlikely it is I am going to meet someone that has a simple, clearly executable trading plan that is also efficient and works in multiple market environments. Sure, I don't "KNOW" but if we both had a gun to our heads we would bet no, wouldn't we?

Just like most people are betting no with this thread. That's fair and I understand it.

  3. I understand. If you're not a prior poster on this site (name started with C), I could introduce the two of you as your posting style and interests (trading together) is very similar.

At any rate, if the problem is scaling, maybe you could consider trading linked accounts. Either your private accounts or through some of those 'get funded' companies.

Basically, you could trade one single account conservatively (like you seem to already be doing), but scale it 5-20x across linked accounts. Of course, you'd need multiple accounts and more capital, but it could be a mental trick that could help you.

Or just continue like you are and scale up SLOWLY.

You said you were extremely comfortable with 1 micro per $2.5K. Shouldn't you be extremely comfortable with 2 micros per $5K then as well?

With a $5K account and 20 MNQ points per day ($40 net per contract x 2 contracts), your account is quadrupled after 100 days (now you're trading 7 contracts) and hits $91K after 200 days (36 contracts).

While this is an idealized example, it does show that if you're profitable a small account can be compounded rather quickly into good money.

100% all good suggestions. I am totally aware of all of this. Don't mean that in a smart way either to be clear. Totally agree. I am trading 2.5k right now via prop firm. It's close to a payout, which I'll be taking the funds out to pay bills(not really a choice). I started other accounts and they are a little over half way to a pay out as well. Long story short I am doing exactly what you said.

Trading it isn't hard, but it isn't easy either. Just because I have an edge, am obviously still human and while it's not stressful per say, still not in the best position financially which does add to the negative side of my trading. Not complaining, thankful for where I am at and the opportunity I have.

Long story short yes, your plan I am already putting into place. Still have to essentially double an account to trade 2 micro's and be at a point I don't need to withdrawal funds for bills. It's doable though, so no complaints.

$2.5 via deposit prop? I can see why you cannot allocate to all of these markets!

You have to be enrolled in an undergrad/grad program and apply for access. Does he sound like he’s in his early 20s to you? Maybe he can ask GS if he can do a ride along on the PSG desk.

I am following the plan the other poster laid out and if I can reach that, then obviously don't need anyone else. That goes without saying. But if I can make things easier on myself, drastically increase my chance of success and save myself a lot of time. Than yes I am willing to share things, to get an ally in return.

Plenty of people in trading and investing work for companies, hedge funds, family offices, manage retirement accounts and etc. No one poops on them for partnering up and using team work in some fashion. Do some of the people in your room not have some type of partnership? Personally don't see this as any different. If you do, that's understandable.

I knew a GWU prof who showed me some of the undergrad tests. He may be right.

I find it surreal that this dude has a couple of grand and assumes kids in a GWU trading lab are the plebes because he’s got a few years of backtests.
