I pay $305 at Echo. That gets me order entry, charts, and all quotes except futures and AMEX. For every 100,000 shares traded in a month a $100 software rebate is given.
Sterling has been horrible the last two days. I can't use the scanner properly or change windows half the time. Most of the time I am pretty happy with it, but it sure is frustrating not being able to trade on days like today.
Sterling has a scanner? As far as the latency, other people have said that speed issues sometimes depend on other factors. I didn't notice any problems the last few days.
I have been having lagging problems when the market gets active. This has happened ever since i got a new computer and was thinking it may have something to do with Windows Vista. Is there anybody out there using Sterling under the Vista operating system? I would like to get some insight on this before I go and reformat my PC. Thanks
Sterling just did an upgrade on the software that fixed some component for vista. I bought a new set-up last year and made sure it had XP as everyone I talked to who was using Vista hated it. Haven't tried it myself.
sterling has been ok lately for me - i've paid anywhere from 125/month to what i pay currently which is 200. When it gets laggy i just take off everything except arca and nsdq - as for the scanner are you talking about madscan? i was supposed to get that like a month ago but never heard anything...
I switched over from vista to xp pro about a year ago and think it is a bit more stable. I hear they are working on some upgrades so we shall see. i pay 200 a month, but if i do 400k in vol it's waived.
Sorry...by scanner I mean the basket order box that I use to scan for stocks. Haven't heard of madscan?
