I don't think I can give a better answer than MB Trading supply themselves: http://www.mbtrading.com/commissions.aspx?page=Forex
besides swiss franc, canadian dollar , euro, gbp, yen are there any other currencies that are available in a retail forex account?
Yes there are, but more problematic for me is that the CME doesn't offer G8 crosses like eur/jpy or eur/gbp etc. at all.
Look up "The Collective FX." Nice spreads. But you need to pay a monthly fee for access. fee depends on monthly volume. happy trading!
does money in a foreign currency resulting from a forex trade have value for trading stock? eg you purchase euro but are trading US securities?
what do you mean? Like if you bought eurousd, and then it appreciates, you take your capital gain and then take that gain to invest into securities? If that is the case, then yes. Why do you think the eurousd pair plummets when the major market indices also drop? Investors are taking their gains from the eurousd, and considering that if the equities market does bad, "stocks will be cheaper", and buying stocks.
