Are there any pairs traders who have been trading the Canadian markets for some time?

I am wondering if this market is too small or too illiquid?

    Thanks in advance,
    Mark

  2. It's not "too small or too illiquid"...
But why bother if you have access to US stocks?

I hear what you are saying. I was thinking that if I could successfully learn to trade pairs in the US market... doing the same thing on the TSE would be a form of diversification.

A good pairs trade requires correlated stocks. There are some good correlations between the many miners and energy companies on the TSX.

  5. Has anyone taken the pairtrader course out in BC put on by pairtrader.com?

If so, what was your opinion about it?

Actually, I want to take this course too.
Rob gave a presentation in Toronto last week.
    Seems to be very polished.

Anyone else care to chime in here?

I traded for bright in dc and went out to the Langley office in BC for a few months. He knows what he's doing and has a great track record. One guy went from being a cashier at a grocery store to making $500k/yr. Definelty worth doing and finding out if its your style of trading.

  9. thanks for the info smoove... are you trading pairs?
