    More than 8GB is better, there are a million details such as Parallels eats up battery, running per second charts on Windows ARM will be slow, running WINE it has some strange dynamics, and mainly you can only connect one monitor to an Air natively, but it's like giving a wooden racket to Federer, he'll still beat you!

    I've been researching different laptops for trading / analysis.

    The biggest drawback on the Macbook, in my opinion, is lack of a number pad on the keyboard. Order and data entries without a number pad is not appealing to me.

    Is IB going to create a TWS version to run on Apple Silicon?

    Looks like IBKR Desktop does have an Apple Silicon version.
