Any one gone through the process of getting approved for naked short calls at Tastyworks

Any retail gotten it approved yet?

 

Why is that hard? They clear Apex. We do it based on your risk level and Financials.

No. No short calls or short stock is a retirement accounts. You can trade future’s if the account is open with a self directed IRA company like Midland and short future’s and options.

 

Thanks - how do you think they accomplish it.? I'm onboarding a new hire and he wants our corporate approval. Other people on the desk have it enabled, but no one seems to remember the process.

Are you saying they are approved by FINRA for naked short calls?

 

They allow it. A couple of our folks use them just because of that ability.
