    Yes

  3. Yes definitely. I had as much as 4 full point difference on the NQ today. Gave up waiting for their "live Tech support" What a joke that is. I figure if that many people are waiting to find out whats up then I already have my answer.

Anybody have a really reliable feed vendor?? I don't mind paying if its good.

What kind of CPU in your computer?

Next time it happens check if the CPU is running at 100%.

I believe that the little 'D' next to the symbol in QuoteTracker indicates that you are not authorized for realtime quotes.

Comparing RT to DL quotes will certainly be off no matter which provider you get quotes from.

However, you post indicates that at sometime, they were matching so it doesn't make a whole lotta sense.

As someone else posted, also make sure you keep an eye on your CPU usage and see if there is a correlation between 100% CPU usage and the times that your data doesn't match.

After seeing this thread, we did some checking in our network and were able to determine that one of our server farms has a bad switch that is flooding our internal network. This would only affect users connected to the x.x.156.x server farm. We will be taking that network down tonight to correct the problem (see http://forums.dtn.com/index.cfm?page=topic&topicID=1819 for more information).

It is suprising to hear of the difficulty reaching support however. The only thing I can think of is that the chat system we have is on the same network as this switch. We may have been losing chat requests due to that problem. Our phone lines have been very light this week, which leads me to believe the problem didn't affect a large number of users (or none of those users called to complain).

We do offer 800# support at 800-779-7299 and 95% of the time we have staff waiting to take calls.

If I had been told this last week I would not have closed my account, once again. The thing is when there clearly is a problem and tech support says there is no problem, what are you supposed to do? Just put up with the bad data and hope it eventually gets better? This happened a few months ago, same thing. I was also told back then the problem had to do with my connection--WRONG! When I found out your fixed the problem, I re-opened my account, but then it started all over again in the past couple of weeks. eSignal's no better. Maybe someday there will be a reliable data source that doesn't charge an arm and a leg. Right now, it doesn't seem to exist.

  9. There's a huge problem in the US now regarding tech support. It's at an all-time low.
Reason: low salaries due to outsourcing.
No one wants to work in tech any longer.
Thus, marginal workers are there now.
I've experienced a plethora of tech support issues recently with software, hardware, and services.
