i really like daytrading names like gs, xom. very good liquidity (enough to get in out easily without waiting forever) and decent movements (10-20cents easily but not more). do you know of any names that trade like these?
POT, AAPL and AMZN are great for capturing quick .10-.20 cent moves. I usually target at least a .40 cent move though because I use a .10-.20 cent stop.
.10 is cuttin it close except in the most perfect of setups IMO. Even on the lowest priced (but violent) movers. I don't think u can ever give GS only a dime of space. Other names: ICE (maybe too thin), X, AIG, FCX, major nat gas stocks: APA APC EOG ESV, especially during the oil and gas num's every wed and thurs, and the leveraged etf's are perfect FAS/FAZ etc. Also u could just do a screen for beta and adv, and throw out the stocks u don't like.
the upstream names are too volatile for me. the integrated are good. i only trade nyse. any other good names? i add liquidity and like quick fills so names with about 1000-1500at each level are good. 10cents targets.
