Which only reinforces the notion that you should never get married to any one direction. Remember, bulls make money, bears make money. Only the pigs are sent to the slaughterhouse.
Yeah, I suppose that is true to an extent...For scalping the ES, I 100% agree with that notion...OTOH, if you are aggressively bullish in an uptrend or likewise in a downtrend, you'll kill it...it's the indecision at key levels that keeps people less aggressive and missing big moves.
Not when you're getting squeezed. My response was in reference to the bear or bull trap, not about indecision. Stock market is overabundant with traders with larger-than-life ego. Ironically, they're the ones who get ran over because they refuse to admit they are wrong. They just can't adapt to changing market conditions. In that sense, pigs should not be allowed to cross the road unattended.
quiet day on the DAX for me. About 15 points profit on the day. Because i'm ignoring 'price action' with this system, I missed a fairly 'obvious' trade that I would have previously taken and that would have worked well. Slightly annoying, but have to remind myself that the last sample ended up being negative when I used support/resistance/price action on the dax! Not going to analyse the results until I've done 300 trades. Currently taken about 60 or so
