Any long term strugglers out there?

  1. 50 pips profit on the Dax isn't bad today, though.

if you play a slot machine every day, you're gonna have some winning days.

bet your broker is pleased though...how much commission did you fork over?

I'm always intrigued by answers where posters have a completely different way of looking at charts, or at plotting price, or perhaps just looking at levels without charts, or even something totally different.

You don't have much of a posting history so its difficult to figure out where you're coming from, but if you could expand on this further, I'd love to read. So far your posts have been interesting, but as a new member with so little posting history, I'm not sure what you're about yet and hence I'd like to read more.

  4. Find someone who can *actually* trade (idelly in real life ) and trying to get them to help you is good advice.

Studying yet more TA guff on the advice of someone who, as far as you know, is no better than you, might not be.

  7. Can you show one of your recent charts with trade executions shown please, zbestoch?
Show me what you think 'proper' TA is, and see if I recognise/have already tried the things on your chart.
    Cheers!

This is all I'm willing to show (this is from this morning's ES trade).

I'm not here to give away edges or teach TA. TA, used properly in any number of its forms, can help one identify a trend, judge its strength, and distinguish likely pullback/continuation situations from likely reversals. Once you learn to do that, assuming you are not afraid to pull the trigger and you have some plan for managing your trades and taking profits, then there should be no struggle.

Reading post after post and thread after thread about how TA doesn't work written by those who so obviously don't know how TA is supposed to work gets a bit old. I am not here to teach TA or to give away edges. Those links from Big Hog point to a solid starting point for learning how TA might provide a tradable edge. There is plenty of solid TA info here at ET for anyone interested.

Not struggling with the trading aspect, got that down well, well I think I have, the issue is I struggle to get time to actually sit down and focus on trading for more than 30seconds before something goes wrong and people start hassling me.

It's simple, ish, M1 wait for a clear direction with momentum, find a good way to enter that, repeat.

Ahhhhh for a simple life :(
