  2. Buyers Beware - Shark Infested Area!

Be sensible people, make sure you get a free trial first, don't rely on claimed past performance results posted on some website!

Don't pay a cent until you see performance with your own eyes.....in real-time!

Any honest signal seller will be more than happy to offer a free trial, don't accept any lame excuses!

Talking of lame I received this from Option Zone in reply to my request for a track record:)

"Thank you for contacting us regarding your subscription to Options Zone.

"We do not offer track records to new subscribers. The service is fast
paced and we are constantly getting in and out of trades. ...........

Please feel free to contact me again if there is anything else I can
    help you with.

    Sincerely,

Talk about negative advertising and a perfect excuse not to touch them!

LOL, obviously too fast for them to keep track of what they're doing :)

Do they offer a free trial scenic?

"However, we do have a 90 day money back guarantee on the service. Once you become a member you will have access to all of the open and closed positions."

That means you have to sign up with full credit card details to gain access to the probably fake track record. What do you think are the chances of a refund if you cancel?

No way would I trust a service like this that is not up front about it's performance.

I think that Ivica, www.ivicacharts.com provides some very good forex insight and live calls. He's who I learned a lot about the FX market from.

One thing about Forex I will note, it's full of marketING wizards, people who have never ever traded and find it quiet funny that people buy their stuff. Over the last six months or so I've gotten pretty involved in the "Internet Marketing" world and have created a couple sites (Forex, raw foods, speed reading) and so become interested in the best tactics to use to sell stuff. As I've crawed around the various Internet Marketing message boards it struck me that almost all the big names in the IM world had Forex sites, and they all talk about it being one of the most lucrative niches out there full of stupid people who will spend a lot of money. So, just a heads up that this might be an area even more full of sharks than other areas are. One thing is that everyone is pretty coy about what their actual sites are in that market unless you buy their $2000 to $5000 courses, so sadly I don't know the URL's, if I do find them though I will post the URL along with the owners comments on how easy forex people are.

  8. hehe, 'money back guarantee', like you say it's unlikely they'll refund anything.

I can understand sellers asking for a nominal payment (ie $1) to try to prevent people signing up for a new trial every month, but why charge them full price and then promise a refund.

I don't know of one honest signal service for forex, there's a definite niche in the market for someone who can be bothered and who offers a fair deal with a no-strings free trial.

  9. I think courses are slightly different in that it wouldn't really be fair to expect a seller to offer a refund once the material had been delivered and used.

Unless the course is a series of live one-on-one sessions there's not really any way of knowing in advance whether it's worth anything or not, or that the seller even knows how to trade profitably. Therein lies the problem of finding a decent course at a reasonable price, there aren't (m)any consistently profitable traders who can be bothered to spend time teaching as it's simply not worth their time and effort, especially given the apparent high percentage of fools trying to become traders!

Oh it's worth the effort. I just have been talking to a guy who is a real trader and runs a good forex site. His partner is one of the top Internet Marketing guys out there and he was just showing me his autherize.net statements and his commission sheets from various referals to brokers. Between courses, referals and continuity they are making over $1.2million PER MONTH with around a 60% profit margin. Guys managing hundreds of millions of dollars dont make that kind of money.
