  1. Monty Hall Paradox breakout signal:

    Choice of (1)Buy, (2)Sell or (3) rangebound in Y mins/hr timeframe
    where rangebound=profit target=stop loss=X pips

Say you always choose buy and you know it can't remain rangebound forever...so do you switch to sell?

  2. I guess it's ok for those weekly competitions but imagine trying to do it for a month!

I guess multiple round competitions would screw it up though.

Isn't this how boiler rooms used to operate some of their scams?

  4. lol, nice idea!

I entered in last year's with a ridiculously overleveraged averaging system......I lasted about 5 days if I remember, then ran out of equity :)

  5. Did they inspect your ex file before allowing you to participate?
If you do not want the organisers to decompile your EA, I wonder if you can just submit trade signal receiver EA that just follow orders transmitted through the internet...with no trading system at all?

  6. I had to submit it and have it approved a few days before the start. If I remember the rules said it had to trade at least once and there was something about leverage, can't remember the exact details now.

As it's the automated championships (the emphasis on 'automated'!) I don't think they allow anything that could be altered mid-competition.

You know what was interesting, quite a few of last year's EA's were working on multiple pairs with multiple strategies....all in the one EA!

  7. So this confirms the organisers decompile all the EAs and would disqualify a trade signal receiver EA with no trading system.

You know, if those EAs can just generate 300%/mth from 10K capital compounded for a year = 4^12 X 10,000, they can bail out the whole world not just US.

  8. You might just have a slight problem with liquidity :D

I don't know what the total prize money is for the competition but let's say it's 100k, that's a cheap price to pay for some of the best EA's in the world!

I have finally made up my mind and tried these guys. Really please as they are honest and transparent. They average 250-350 pips. A feature i really like is that you can follow their trades as they are entered via an MT4 based platform (they provide you with download and login details). Thjey trade 2-4 times a day and use tight stop losses. This definitely matches my psychology...

I've used several signal services. I think www.forexwatchers.com is pretty good. Its free and they go for like 100 pips a day in a chatroom. :)
