any good chat rooms in Paltalk & Hotcomm?

Ok, is there another or different free chat room similar to Woodies and profitable. The key word here is "free".

I don't care for Woodies room any longer since he put bad moderators in charge. If Woodie ran his own room and didn't put moderators in charge then it would be ok still. The moderators ruined his chat room.

  2. You should define exactly what your looking for because there are hundreds of free chat rooms and hundreds of free signal calling rooms.

    For example...

    * Are you looking for a room that only one head trader post his/her trades???

    * Are you looking for a room where there's no trade posting but just good education material???

    * Are you looking for stock chat or signal calling rooms???

    * Are you looking for futures chat or signal calling roms???

    * Are you looking for a room that's well moderated but nobody post trades but only provide helpful market insights???

I can go on and on but I think many traders that venture into chat rooms or signal calling rooms walk away not liking their experiences because they either didn't know what they were looking for or they were directed to a room by someone not know what that trader really needed.

I did define exactly what I am looking for. Read my post again above yours.

I said "Similar to Woodies", "Free", with lots of people in it. I don't know how much clearer I could make it. I said that I like Woodies chat room, but I don't like his moderators. If Woodie was moderating his own room then it would still be good.

If anybody has been in Woodies room, then they know that Woodie trades Emini's only and there are at least 200-400 people in the chat at all times. His room is free. He is profitable most of the time. Not all the time. He gives free advice in the chat room and he is friendly and professional.

I think u need to finish reading the Crapola posts.

I heard his moderators r better than him. Woodie's trading is questionable. Why would u waste ur time to follow him?

  5. I'll say it again...

    There are hundreds.

You need to define it more unless you want someone to post every free chat room out there that has a few traders that saids they are profitable in trading the Emini Futures.

My point, if that's your definition...

Go to the FinancialChat or Othernet server on IRC and type in the command lines /list

That will pop up a screen with lots of rooms...all free...full of traders that say they are profitable.

    Many are nice and professional.

Many post trades with clear entry and exit prices.

Some even post their stop/loss protection.

Many post charts of what they are using as a methodology.

A few even post their actual broker profit/loss statements (I don't think Woodie does that...correct me if I'm wrong).

Some will educate you via pm after the market closes if your nice to them and have a strong interest in their methodology.

Some rooms only has a few traders and others have +100 traders.

    Most are well moderated.

Hang out in those rooms, be active in the conversation and then start asking what free private rooms are out there.

In other words, the best free rooms full of profitable traders are usually private...

    Invitational only or requires registration.

You just have to be active in the public rooms and hope someone invites you or tells you where else to look.

However, I don't know if there are chat rooms that mainly uses the CCI indicator as Woodie's room does.

That one criteria (CCI indicator only) could give you a list of chat rooms that = One

    As in Woodies.

Also, the /list command does not show private rooms that are secret which means they intentionally do not want to show up on the list although they are free (these usually are the invitational only rooms).

    Hope that helps.

P.S. There was a profitable trader on the Othernet that traded via the CCI indicator (none of Woodies stuff) and he did post his statements.

Yet, his public free room disappeared one day after being online for a few months.

Last I heard he was on Hotcomm in a closed room of about 3 traders all using CCI.

You could call the Hotcomm folks and see if they provide a listing of private trading rooms.

I don't follow him. I don't use his system. I watch candlesticks and price along with other indicators. He doesn't.
Or rather he is telling the chat room he doesn't. We aren't sure what his trading monitors "really" look like since we can't see his physical monitors and he only shows us his webcam monitor - one monitor set up. For all we know he could be watching 20 different monitors in his house to make his trading decisions. LOL.

I visited his chat room less than 5 times because he doesn't trade my markets and he uses a different methodology than me.

If people are starting to get away from woodies trading room - like some people claim they are, then I thought maybe they were going some other place online. Woodies has a few hundred traders in his room so I thought maybe a few of them might open their own chat room someplace.

Another trading room which is free with a few hundred SERIOUS traders working together to beat the emini market daily would be good.

Sure there are tons of trading rooms for emini trading all over the internet... Paltalk, Yahoo, Irc, etc..., but they aren't free, or profitable.

  7. I've been cruising the IRC looking for the same thing you are (Sarah) and have yet to come up with anything worthwhile. If you continue to look would you let me know? I'll do the same .

    Thanks

  8. Hotcomm loses alot of business because they charge their chat room visitors. Hotcomm makes alot of money off the chat room owners who pay money to open up a chat room. Then hotcomm charges money to the people who want to be inside the chat rooms also. Then the chat room owner has to charge the people to be in their room because they have to get back their money that they pay to hotcomm. I don't recommend hotcomm. People should not have to pay hotcomm to join a chat room when hotcomm is making money off the room owner for opening a chat room. It doesn't seem right to me.

Anybody know where the old hotcomm room owners are going that quit hotcomm? I know alot of chat room owners think the same as I do and they quit hotcomm and opened up shop another place which is more reasonable. They seem to be scattered.

  10. I know a few profitable traders that post their realtime trades and are members of the following trading rooms on IRC:

    #emini
    #IndexFutures
    #pitstock

These traders trade the Emini Futures, the rooms are free.

However, these profitable traders are not moderators nor do they manage the rooms.

They are just members using the chat rooms.

Yet, if your not looking for that type of chat room but more of a signal calling where only the head trader gives trade instructions...

The free and good ones are private but has some connections to some traders using the public rooms like #emini, #IndexFutures and #pitstock.

However, among the easy three ones I mention...#emini provides some education that I know some traders to have said is very helpful to their trading.

The other two rooms do not provide education.

Simply, you got to be active in your conversations in the public rooms and posting trades.

In other words, don't lurk unless you don't want other traders to know that you exist and looking for profitable trading rooms.

Posting your trades consistently will usually catch someone's attention.

Hopefully, someone will notice and invite you to join a private room especially if you become friends.
