I don't want to hurt any feelings here but if you guys are looking for chat rooms to make money.... you might as well just pull out what you have left, pay off your credit cards, and get a job. You have to do your homework and you have to do it by yourself -- mentors can help you find your way, but relying on chat room moderators to make calls, come on. The way to make it in this career is to do the hard work, prepare, and sweat a little. Get off you ass boys.
Alex, this must be a misunderstanding. We aren't looking for a pick service or so, we only want to "test" a trading method via a chat room. Most mentors aren't making any money (they only sell courses for a living instead of to trade) and that's why I am on my toes always.... Do you understand what I mean? Nice weekend!!
Your last sentence is un-called for. Please keep your post professional. If you have nothing to contribute to other members, refrain from posting. It is good for your fellow traders. Where have you read that everyone here do not make money? Have you heard of "search for excellence"? Chat room is a good place to see how others are trading. Good chat room can improve our tradings & inspire us to keep on improving our tradings.
I think it depends on what you feel comfortable with. I tried cfgtrading for forex, and it did not make me profitable. However, I think some of their people do make money trading forex there. I did not like that you had a small profit target and higher stop target so that you had to hit a very high number of trades to be profitable. I tried Franz's room. I heard some make money in it. But his style is very fast trades with very high number of contracts and he will fight the market when the trade goes against him instead of using a straight stop. I did not make money in this room. Also, not sure if I like this type of trading. Both of the above require you take $ 5,000 - $ 6,000 courses to use the rooms past the trial periods. Plus of course you have to pay a monthly fee. Some rooms have been mentioned here already including one that I use now which I will not name since some users may flame me for mentioning it again. It only has about 10 real traders in it, but I did make a 10% profit on my trading account for the month that I used it. They have losing days, so its no holy grail, and if you are looking for a system or room that always has winning days, then this one is not for you. Also, you do of course have to pay a monthy fee to use the room, and it is something that you would not be able to do and have a day job. I also put some money into a hedge fund run by a semi-famous trader recently. They charge around 25% of your profit if they are profitable. Again I will mention no names. However, my goal is to make enough money per month to live off of where I think some here have different goals than me. So far from all of my ventures including non-trading ways to generate cash flow, I was successful last month and I was diversified in my approach.
Thanks for providing information. Please post the names of whatever the subscriptions that you mentioned of: & if you followed them selectively. That's why we spending time in ET to share information & help each other to avoid pitfalls & move to a better path.
His website is closed down. He lost his money and couldn't afford the $10.00 a month website fee. He was just another daytrading scam artist. I know alot of people lost money in his paltalk room. Another one bites the dust.
Sorry to hear about it. We are still looking for 1 good chat room that members can make money trading with it. Summary so far: None.
www.ioamt.com has a very good room....I know about 5 traders that hang out there everyday and they say it is very good.
Summary of this thread so far. There aren't any signal calling chat rooms headed by a head trader that every one using the room is making money off the head trader signal calls. However, there are some rooms (discussed in this thread) in which a few traders are making money while others that have used the room are not making money. Thus, signal calling rooms are no different from strategies we see being discussed here at ET. Some traders say it works while most say it doesn't work. Therefore, maybe the deciding factor for the usefulness of a signal calling room is if the head trader shares the actual method behind his calls. Another deciding factor can be if the head trader or any members post their profit/loss statements at the end of the day to show the performance of such calls. My point with the above statement...I've seen a lot of commentary in this thread by those that said any particular signal calling room is not profitable but there's no proof of such. Just the same, same is true from those that say particular rooms are profitable. I'm just curious at how close the entries/exits are to the signal caller's entries/exits. Therefore, are there any signal calling rooms where the performance records is based upon the average entry and exit price of the members instead of the performance record of the signal caller??? Even better, are there profit/loss statements posted by the signal caller and/or the members??? I remember here at ET where someone that said a room was not profitable and he actually posted his statement to show the trades he followed was not profitable...the debates about the room ended immediately.
