any good chat rooms in Paltalk & Hotcomm?

  1. Don't be surprised...

This thread was started by zxcv1fu that was only interested in a specific type of room...not the ones your suggesting.

Later, discussion turned into any type of rooms...gurus, non-gurus, fee-based and free...

zxcv1fu returned and got the thread back on course via the following...

wOg...if you use ET search menu you'll find some of those other types of rooms.

Many of those types of rooms your looking for are on either the FinancialChat server or the Othernet server.

There's been in-depth discussion here at ET about rooms where just a bunch of traders get together and collaborate...

No gurus, no signal calling by a head trader, traders helping traders if help is asked and free.

There are hundreds of rooms like that and many are very specific to what type of traders are welcome.

However, from my experience, the best rooms tend to be private or invitational only although free along with the number of room users averaging less than 25.

And there are traders meeting via either something like Yahoo! messenger or ICQ but I don't like such types because they don't allow for more in-depth room management as some of the other software programs out there.

There are many chat rooms around to chat, not too good trying to make lots of money. They are good if you feel lonely & not 100% trying to make a living.

    Try:

I think it provides lots of market information.

    NihabaAshi,

Thanks for clarify what this thread is for, so we do not get sidetracked. I was busying the past a few days & could not respond to the post in a timely fashion.

The rooms leaded by moderators are more focused & orderly. Then we need to find out the track record & the styles. It is good that there are a few old timers around to share reviews of the chat rooms so we do not waste time or money.

I look at the membership number of a room as an indicator. If the membership of a room is decreasing usually is a bad sign.

    Summary so far:

Have not found one that someone could post that he/she is making $$$. The search is still on.....

There is going to have a new chat in Paltalk tomorrow on:
    Free 3-D Traders PalTalk chat

It is supposed to have voice to signal the trades. Please provide feebacks.

  9. If he answers, "No" to your above questions, do you plan to start a poll to have him banned from ET?

Yes, I would also like to know how your chat room will be different from the others?

In my estimation, thier are two types of chatrooms:

    1. Education, teaching while using the real-time market.
    2. Actually calling live trades in the room.

What would be great is if you can teach your style trading while place real trades that we can follow through your execution panel.

    Good luck!
