"...Graphic videos of the shooting show Babbitt wore a Trump flag as a cape as she tried to crawl through a broken window, flanked by other protesters. A single shot rang out, and she fell to the floor bleeding from an apparent neck wound..."

"...,With help from someone who hoisted her up, Babbitt began to step through a portion of the door where the glass had been broken out. An officer on the other side, who was wearing a suit and a surgical mask, immediately shot Babbitt in the neck. She fell to the floor..."

See, this is where I beg to differ.

I honestly think, he thought he won.

You guys call him crazy and delusional all the time.
Well ok then.... let's assume that, let's say you're right.

Then 1 plus 1 equals two.... and it is not a far reach to imagine him truly believing he won, based on the heretofore unheard of amount of votes that were tabulated. In all actuality, considering his underlying personality.... there is no friggin way he would not have responded like this.

Is delusionality a defense in Georgia? I have no idea. But I think an honest case can be made for the defense playing the card of "he really thought he won".

Honestly, I think he really did think that at the time. I'm 1000% sure he thought that. I really am.

“I really thought all the money in the bank belonged to me, therefore I should get a pass when I robbed the bank.”

Delusionality is not a criminal defense. If the delusions are acute enough they may put you in an insane asylum instead of jail however.

President Donald Trump won the election on November 8, 2020. I have no doubt of it. In Georgia alone, he was ahead by like 300,000 votes over Biden with like 2% left to count, the night of the election. Then, they stopped the count instead, of finishing it? It took them weeks to finish the count? Nobody questions the fact that ballots of dead people, people in nursing homes with Alzheimers, ballots whose signatures do not match records, among other things was allowed to be counted? What about ballots run thru tabulating machines multiple times? If all the questionable ballots was removed, President Donald Trump wins easily. Arizona had a lot of irregularities resulting in election fraud too, as the Arizona audit already proved beyond any reasonable doubt.

Ahhh, that's kind of a weak analogy. In this particular case at least. Not apples to apples.
