After months, Judge Cannon agrees to shield Trump witness names (msn.com)

U.S. District Court Judge Aileen M. Cannon agreed Tuesday to end a long-running dispute with prosecutors over whether government-agent witnesses in Donald Trump’s classified documents criminal trial should be publicly identified in court filings.

Her order was the second time this month she has criticized Justice Department lawyers while ruling mostly in their favor.

Surprise, surprise...Judge Cannon finally agrees to protect the witness names until they're called up as evidence...

    Trump is fucked.

There will be no more intimidation tactics from Trump now that the judge fully understands what he's been doing on social media in inciting the MAGA followers against the government and government agents while he forgets he's part of the government too.

Also, there are other witnesses against Trump by those who worked for him at Mar-a-Lago. We should then discover during the trial if Trump has been "sharing" classified documents with others...others from other countries.

Trump’s lawyers subpoena wrong ‘Jeremy Rosenberg’ before hush money trial: ‘I don’t have any files for you’
    https://nypost.com/2024/04/09/us-ne...ong-jeremy-rosenberg-before-hush-money-trial/

    Oops!

Donald Trump’s lawyer in his “hush money” case served the wrong guy with court papers — demanding that a Brooklyn man with nothing to do with the upcoming trial turn over evidence, prosecutors said Tuesday.

The pre-trial flub came after Trump attorney Todd Blanche sent a subpoena to a man they believed to be former District Attorney Supervising Rackets Investigator Jeremy Rosenberg in March, seeking files related to Trump’s fixer-turned-enemy Michael Cohen, the Manhattan DA’s office said.

But the man was, in fact, a separate Jeremy Rosenberg — a Brooklyn resident who appears to have had a bit of fun with Trump’s attorneys.

“I don’t have any files for you,” Rosenberg wrote back to the Trump lawyers, according to a filing from Trump’s attorneys released Monda

Rosenberg added that the “phone number you provided was disconnected” and that he’d be keeping the $15 Trump’s lawyers had sent him to help pay for sending the documents.

Blanche, a veteran ex-prosecutor, complained earlier this week that the man they believed was the ex-DA Rosenberg had displayed a “flippant and dismissive approach” to the request “despite ample experience with the criminal justice system that should have instilled in him respect for this process and a criminal defendant’s rights.”

But in fact, Trump’s lawyers had simply served court papers on the wrong man, prosecutor Matthew Colangelo wrote.

“The people believe the defendant has served the incorrect person,” Colangelo said in the filing.

“The people spoke with Mr. Rosenberg’s counsel, who informed the People that Mr. Rosenberg was not, in fact, served with the subpoena, that Mr. Rosenberg had not corresponded with defense counsel, and that Mr. Rosenberg does not have any connection to the Brooklyn address where the subpoena purportedly was served,” Colangelo added.

Blanche did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The case, set for jury selection April 15, involves allegations that Trump covered up payments made before the 2016 election that kept porn star Stormy Daniels from telling the public about an alleged affair that she had with him.

Trump, 77, has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records in the case, which each carry a potential prison sentence of up to four years.

Trump’s lawyers plan to ask the Rosenberg they’re looking for — once they reach him that is — for all records of communications he had with Cohen from February 2021 until this May.

Rosenberg got into hot water last year over his contact with the one-time Trump lawyer, The Post exclusively reported last year.

He was suspended and had his gun removed as Bragg’s office investigated how Rosenberg shared communications about Cohen with the office, a law enforcement source said.

The interactions were “always professional and focused on Mr. Cohen’s personal security, which we appreciated,” Cohen’s lawyer Lanny J. Davis said at the time.

Another sign is when we see people below Trump getting prison sentences or taking plea deals to stay out of jail by agreeing to be a key witness against Trump.

I think in each of his criminal cases, people have taken plea deals including lawyers who will be testifying against Trump and his co-defendents. My favorite is Texan lawyer Sidney Powell...she's singing like a bird.

    Others...

Texan Sidney Powell, Trump co-defendant, pleads guilty in Georgia election interference case. Under the plea agreement, the lawyer will serve six years' probation, pay a $6,000 fine plus $2,700 to the secretary of state's office and testify truthfully at co-defendants' trials.

Trump's 10th Attempt to Delay Trial Fails
    Trial is Monday.
    https://www.meidastouch.com/news/trumps-10th-attempt-to-delay-trial-fails

For at least the 10th time, Donald Trump has tried and failed to delay his trial in New York on the the Stormy Daniels hush money case.

Trump has tried every excuse and trick in the book, filing motion after motion in the trial court then taking each one up to an appellate court. But every single effort has failed and he is going to have to face reality as he sits in court on Monday for the first criminal jury trial of his life.

This is not like the civil case either, where Trump can drop in and drop out as he pleases. His appearance is mandatory, so he will have to be in the courtroom all day, every day, for as long as it takes with a judge he loathes.

This trial is going to be unlike any of his previous hearings - Judge Merchan is not going to tolerate his antics and histrionics. Also, there is a very serious possibility Trump could actually be sentenced to jail when this trial is over if he loses.

The fact that he was up until 2:00 AM rage posting on Truth Social then back at it at 6:30 AM this morning shows that he finally realizes he has to deal with this.
