Trump is not too bright...he could end up in jail for violating the gag orders. More important, if one jury member or family member of a judge/jury is threaten by a follower of Trump...

It puts the light back on Trump's incitement speech on January 6th, 2021...back on how his "free speech" and use of social media incites people to become emotionally charge and to become violent.

In a strange way, didn't Charles Manson plea innocent to the murders by his followers (a cult...another group of crazy religious fanatics) because he said he was not physically there and he cited "free speech" ???

Manson said his only involvement was giving out the Names & Addresses to his followers...people he disliked because they represented Hollywood that rejected Manson's music. :banghead:

‘Profoundly ahistorical’: 4-star generals side with Jack Smith, tell Supreme Court Trump’s immunity claims are ‘assault’ on democracy
    https://lawandcrime.com/high-profil...mps-immunity-claims-are-assault-on-democracy/

A distinguished group of retired four-star generals and admirals from the U.S. military have argued in a brief filed in the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday that Donald Trump’s claims of absolute “presidential immunity” from criminal prosecution tied to Jan. 6 is an “assault” on the “foundational commitments” underpinning democracy and if his argument is allowed to succeed before them later this month, it threatens “to subvert the careful balance between the executive and legislative branches struck in the Constitution.”

The 38-page amicus brief features 19 authors, all of them decorated retired admirals, generals or secretaries from branches of the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force respectively. On April 25, the high court is poised to hear Trump’s question of immunity against prosecution for his alleged criminal conspiracy to subvert the results of the 2020 election. and according to the brief, these are arguments that should be approached with extreme caution.

“Petitioner’s theory of presidential immunity threatens to subvert the careful balance between the executive and legislative branches struck in the Constitution. For example, if emboldened by absolute immunity, the President might unsuccessfully seek authorization from Congress to undertake a certain action and then attempt to have the military carry out that action even though Congress rejected it. Moreover, our Constitution directs the people’s elected representatives in Congress to enact criminal laws that the executive is tasked with enforcing; allowing the President to violate those laws with impunity fundamentally distorts this constitutional allocation of powers,” they wrote.

  3. True, but he is very much in touch with his reptilian brain. But he knows full well what he is doing, and is trying to dance along the edges. He wants his cult base to uprise, consequences be damned. Since he's potentially looking at years in prison beyond the remainder of his probable lifespan, he figures he might as well go scorched-earth.

Scorched-earth sounds like someone who thinks he's above the law and needs to do whatever it takes to protect his image...his ego.

America should be OK during Trump's criminal trials assuming he doesn't give any speeches and uses the word "bloodbath" which can easily be misinterpreted by some of his crazy followers and crazy flip-floppers who will attack those on the jury or attack the jurors family members. :(

I would agree that Biden has less time
If Trump wins Biden will end up convicted and in jail

Our retired military leaders and many current military leaders understand the danger to Democracy by another Trump Presidency.

I know a few Colonels in the Army who plan to retire if Trump is elected President. Two of them plan to move abroad to another country.

They're still trying to find a way to blame the Biden administration for the Covid Pandemic while intentionally forgetting the Trump administration was in the Oval Office in 2019 and 2020.
