With most prop firms you are not an employee so it wouldn't work. However if you did get a position with one of the few firms that offer some sort of base it would be possible to apply for the HB1 but that being said chances are high that it may be denied.
no justification for that expense unless it's highly unique talent doing operational stuff. traders can trade from anywhere in the world.
