Any brokers using quote/recv order servers located in West Coast?

    That really depends on the time frame you trade.

    If you are seriously scalping, latency is a real enemy because you are always trying to grab liquidity that was there XXms ago.

    If you are trading a 15m or larger time frame you can make do with even satellite latency without a large effect.

    My buddy has fiber to his house in Denver and he pings Tal at 20ms. My sister in San Jose has microwave and she pings Tal at 260. I have cable here in San Diego and ping at 60. None of us sense an advantage over the other for the time frame we trade.

    Thanks Turok,

    I found that the max acceptable round trip time for trading is 250ms. Of course if you chase liquidity you probably need your 60ms.

    By the way what connection(Mbps) your friend in Denver has?
