Self directed trading with one's own money gets non-professional status and much lower live data fees. In my case, futures (+NYSE/Nasdaq for FAANG's and indices) with TradeStation, costs about a tank full of gas worth a month. Don't know about if it is done thru LLC's?
I trade with IB and do not subscribe to any of their market data. I run systematic strategies and use IQ Feed as the data source.
are you classified non-pro or pro at IB? if non-pro you should be fine. if pro then are you getting charged a non display fee? Non-Display License Fees/month CME CBOT NYMEX COMEX DME Category A: Automated Trading Systems* $670 $670 $670 $670 $670 Category A: User Non Display** $375 $375 $375 $375 $375 Category A: Managed User Non-Display*** $170 $170 $170 $170 $170 Category B: Internal Order Processing**** $670 $670 $670 $670 $670
i trade + have hired 2 traders so need to deduct salaries/expenses would like to hire a lot more and trade as many markets as possible fees not that bad if doing heavy volume which we hopefully will grow into and it won't be a big deal stocks have a lot less data fees and commissions cheaper but not as much leverage crypto has high commissions, and no fees so it all evens out in the end i guess
Try some prop firms that might give you platform access and probably share revenue with you for your traders. I see their pro data for all ECNs including platform fee inclusive is like just $225 per month which sounds a good deal to me
