Wow, you have been around a long time. Then you know he is a very down to earth, approachable guy. He loves to hear from traders that use his methods. If you haven't looked at the website lately, there is now a place where we post daily charts and you can actually subscribe to charts. There is also the TSP, Trading System Project, where he has been teaching trading. He loves to teach and considers teaching his legacy.
While i am certain mr. seykota is a unique and very smart man, polygamy is something he promotes. just do a google search and the real reasons for the tribe will emerge http://www.worldpolyamoryassociatio...ions.html#RESOLVING POLY CONFLICTS IN A TRIBE Choose. The World Polyamory Association advocates CHOICE. Be the chooser, decider, author of this chapter of your life. WPA wants you to make discerning choices that serve you. Make choices that facilitate your personal growth and evolution and at the same time honor and respect the people you commit to love. You have relationship options - monogamy, celibacy, open marriage, pair-bonded inclusive relating, triads (man-woman-man, woman-man-woman, man-man-man, woman-woman-woman) polyfidelity, loving networks, group marriage, multi-generational line marriage, and more. You have heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual alternatives within each. You have many spiritual practices and value systems to chose--to mix and match with your relationship options, styles and sexual orientation. What is most important is that you are the chooser and that you come from choice. what's up with this?? multigenerational line marriage?? does he actually support this garbage? astro
I know about that. He spoke at one of their meetings for a friend of his. He spoke about feelings. He is very much concerned about how people feel and how they experience their feelings. He's a single man and he does have girlfriends. I have never seen any evidence of wild or inappropriate behavior and I see him every day. The truth is kind of boring. He's a very nice man who works hard every day, dates women and lives a very normal main stream life.
I belong to the Incline Village Tribe and that is not what the tribe is about. The Tribe is about uncovering feelings, experiencing feelings and moving on to become a better person.
So, basically... anyone not living the type of lifestyle that YOU approve of is a "loser." May Uncle Sam continue to interfere in how you live your life... serves you right.
What's your definition of "wild or inappropriate" behavior? Is it anything that doesn't fit within your accepted norms? If you were to find out he enjoys having anal sex with his girlfriend, would you then label that as "wild or inappropriate" based on your own conduct? What does any of that have to do with trading, I might add.
Of course the definition of wild or inappropriate is "outside of accepted norms". What else could the definition possibly be? As to what it has to do with trading, I would guess all that stuff he's supposedly into( and I have no idea if it's true), if it results in multiple divorces and bankruptcies, then it may not be the road to making one a better person, which it purports to do.
That's just a circular definition... "outside of accepted norms." I'm sure it is not outside of Ed Seykota's accepted norms, nor that of his "tribe" followers. That begs the question... should Ed live by the standards of the person who judged him, or his own standards? As for multiple divorces, how many divorces make a person a bad trader? I'm sure you know the divorce rate in the USA is greater than 50%, and that second marriages have an even higher divorce rate. Therefore, if someone's going to judge the man based on "multiple divorces" -- I suggest they first study their facts. As you can gather, I find people who render ad-hominem attacks on the character of others to be quite flawed themselves (in reference to the original attacker).
