Any able to connect to IB Sunday 7th Jan???

    How much it will cost you if you don’t place an order or exit a position?

    Depending on what service you’re using, an international call from US to HK could be as pricey as a few pennies per minute :)

    In many ways HK is much more English than the US. At least they don't want to take your fingerprints if you fly in (that's pathetic George).

    How frequent would any of you who uses IB say these system outages are .... understand that these things happen but that just makes me uneasy that there would be such limited backup

    IB seemed to be rock solid for about two years starting in '03, with maybe one outing a year in those two years.

    This last year (not calendar, just 365 days, mostly '06 and some of '07) it seems like the IB feed has gone down at least three or more times, with '07 already having an outing .... :(

    The feed also seems to go down intraday more often than I remember, although it comes back up relatively soon. If your ATS program is written correctly, that is not catastrophic, although it is still bad...
