Maybe, that's not the fix.

I tried another account login including a demo, neither works.

I guess its a crapshoot!!

 

Beta a no-go as well.

And risk my credentials being captured? No thanks. As an IT professional, I would highly recommend that no one do this.

Ive noticed my standalone app does not connect.

But the applet on the ib website does connect!!!

I am going to upgrade my TWS to the latest version...

 

Oh, is this in their documentation? I kind of figured that an option for encrypted quotes would be in the application, not on the login screen -_-

 

I think you will find that the authentication is encrypted regardless of the SSL setting. The subsequent session is nnot if you leave SSL off.
