They were either going to take him out via a sniper (reduce the chance of civilians getting injured), arrest him and then put a knee on his neck or put a spit bag over his head with no breathable holes and then press his head into the cement / knee in his back so that he'll puke with the bag over his head so that he'll suffocate.

Regardless, the guy was speaking out after the shooting and that's an embarrassment for law enforcement. They could not take him alive.

End of the day...he killed someone...giving up his own rights to life.

Imagine had he turned himself in after the shooting and yelled self-defense with his hands above his head or even gone back to his home state (Washington) to turn himself into law enforcement...

He may see his children again one day.

Wannabe militia getting involved in a fight not there own when they cross state lines instead of staying home to defend their own property.

Now imagine had there been a U.S. President not spewing divisiveness. Those kids may still have their father home protecting them.

I misread a map, he was into another state. Corrected my earlier post.

He didn't give up his right to life by killing someone of course. That is for a jury to decide of self-defence was real. The guy should have found a way to surrender and perhaps he was planning to, just when the president has already called your guilt and set his dogs loose, that will affect thinking.

I would expect the Feds to be able to bring someone in if they wished to, they did not do so, this is very concerning.

There are protests all over the US because of perceived shoot to kill and execute with impunity culture in law enforcement. This is adding to that quite a lot. The Taylor shooting photos just released showing absolute wild firing plus a tampered with scene.. All this becomes more than the sum of its parts very fast in social media.

They need to release the video to show justification for the 30-40 bullets witnessed say
    were fired during his apprehension.

Anyway, fingers crossed there will be a public showing of the feds operation soon if this was a legit thing.

His self-defence of himself and others argument seems thin but the partner of the victim did say they had a BB gun as well as the bear spray. Airsofts can be near identical to real.

    That's my concern too.

I actually thought about the "surrender" issue considering he mention the word "lawyers" during the interview as in plural as if he may have talked to several lawyers about the self-defense issue.

Then again, the police may have waited for a few days to give himself that chance to turn himself into law enforcement in Lacey, Washington that he resided in even though he's originally from the Portland, Oregon area.

The police may have then made a decision this guy had no intentions of turning himself into law enforcement...they then decided to go get him with the knowledge of his prior recent arrests.

My next door neighbour (best friend) is law enforcement (Sheriff) and former SWAT team member also a pheasant hunting pal...he mention once to me several years ago that sometimes they may view someone as extremely dangerous and they know there's weapons in the person vehicle.

They then wait until that person exits their home and tries to enter their vehicle or allow the person to start driving just before they close off the exit into any nearby areas before trying to take him down. I asked...why not just kick in the person's home door and arrest the person prior to allowing the person to go outside to a vehicle ?

He responded, its a justifiable shooting if you just wait for the person to approach their vehicle that they know has weapons and there's less chance of a hostage situation because sometimes they don't get the green light to take someone down when they kick in the door versus taking someone down outside next to their vehicle that contains weapons.

Anyways, if he had a lawyer and was planning to turn himself in...the lawyer should have been smart enough to contact law enforcement and then tell that he's bringing in the suspect...

That could have prevented his death had he been in contact with a lawyer to facilitate his surrender.

Regardless, Reinoehl had followed Aaron Danielson from some nearby garage area in Portland after the Danielson calmly walked by him and then shot the guy because he attempted to spray him or his friend with "bear spray". Reminds me of the situation of Rittenhouse shooting dead two people that were chasing him with Skateboards.
    • Strangely, Reinoehl taught snowboarding and was also a Skateboarder too.
Portland has always been a hot bed for radicals on both sides of the coin considering its one of those states with open gun laws. I know a few ex special forces guys that have settle down in Oregon area solely because of the open gun laws and the nearby Olympic National Forest...a place I go winter hiking / winter camping once per year just to get off the grid for a few weeks.

People in the U.S are stressed, unemployed, divided and the first signs of that was the issue about "face mask wearing" in a Pandemic that the U.S. President made such a political issue as if he had a private civil war.

Protesting, civil unrest on both sides is natural outcome when all other peaceful ways has been diminished. The President rolled the dice and hopes his division would put more people on his side but so far...that's not working on many fronts especially with the military.

This is chaos that Trump created on his watch. Essentially, he's trying to destroy America on his way out the door while having a temper tantrum setting up a situation that there will not be a "peaceful transition of power" when its time for him to leave office after being voted out.

Yes, though I have been over the available videos and I don't think this can be taken as a statement of fact? Do you have witness statements?

"Regardless, Reinoehl had followed Aaron Danielsonfrom some nearby garage area in Portland after the Danielson calmly walked by him and then shot the guy because he attempted to spray him or his friend with "bear spray".
    "

I went over the videos a lot and there is nothing clear about just prior, who followed who and who was shouting. There were two Patriot Prayer guys and we know between them bear spray and a bb or some kind of gun mentioned by his partner who was unharmed, I assume his partner held it.

My analysis indicated the spray starts we don't see a white ploom but we hear the spray, we do see the victim obscured in the same instants the spray starts. Then the canister is shot, it exploded in a big puff and a 2nd shot. People with handguns have a tenancy to aim for the perceived threat, it may be that the explosion caused a started 2nd shot as a possibility. The shooter had himself been shot in the arm a couple of months back.

I was a wildlife and anti-poaching ranger operating in Africa (few places) and I have arrested a lot of people with a team. From my perspective doing anything like creating situational justification for lethal force is murder whether legal or not. I also worked for the UK police (civilian) and they would have have walloped the guy stepping out the door.

Time will tell but the US is very casual about killing compared to other developed nations.

You’re totally wrong, this shitshow is directly on the heads of local city governments, mayors and governors.

They tried that crap here in Oklahoma, people would not put up with it. City council members who have voted for police defunding are being recalled, rioters were arrested.

The violence continues because local governments have no balls to put and end to them. This isn’t Trump’s fault. These are anarchists infiltrating local protests stirring up violence causing division.

Who organised the 700? car and truck pro Trump rally?

"The pro-Trump rally drew hundreds of trucks full of supporters into the city. At times, Trump supporters and counterprotesters clashed on the streets, with people shooting paintball guns from the beds of pickup trucks and protesters throwing objects back at them."

The shit show starts at the top and I stand by my statement that it begun at the start of the Pandemic when Trump made "face mask wearing" a political issue instead of letting it become a "health crisis issue".

He wanted a civil war but has run out of time (about 8 weeks left before November).

Other countries with dictators know what happens when a large number of the population is out of work, hungry, stressed...local authorities can not manage it because the top is not managing it or are the true antagonists.

That has always been that way since 40 B.C. when the first riot / unrest occurred...shit show started from the top and worked its way downhill.

He fucked up and will lose his job because of such...he's fired although we need to wait for the completion of the election. Reminder, to know Trump today you need to know Trump in New York prior to politics...he's someone that didn't care about the military, didn't care about immigrants and didn't care about minorities.

    His actions are facts.

Yeah but it all falls apart when Trump pleads with local authorities to accept federal help and is turned down while their cities burn.

Again, the shit was stopped here, it can be the same every where if the local politicians want it. Sorry, this is a DNC issue not Trump, regardless of your butthurt.
