The residents of cities are fed up and stepping in to stop the rioting and looting...

Chicago locals fight off protesters and shut down BLM rally to prevent looting

Chicago residents infuriated by looters blighting the city are fighting back — angrily kicking out a Black Lives Matter protest.

As access was again blocked to downtown overnight to stop more marauding — with bridges raised and expressway ramps closed — protesters turned to the troubled South Side neighborhood where a man allegedly started a shootout with cops in an arrest that sparked the chaos.

But the Englewood locals pushed back, insisting the agitators are nothing to do with the area — and kicking out the protesters from BLM and groups campaigning to defund the police, according to Fox 32.

“If you ain’t from Englewood, get the f–k out of here,” longtime local resident Darryl Smith shouted at protesters during tense confrontations.

“Y’all don’t come out when a kid gets shot. Y’all come out when it’s got something to do with the f—ing police,” he yelled through a loudspeaker, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

“If your issue is with the police, take it to 35th and Michigan,” he shouted, referring to Chicago police HQ. “Don’t come in Englewood with it.”

The rally made its way to the police station for the officers involved in Sunday’s shootout with Latrell Allen — but again was quickly dispersed after angry pushback by locals who said the looting was nothing to do with the neighborhood.

“None of these motherf—ers are gonna be here tomorrow. That’s why I got a problem,” lifelong Englewood resident Duane Kidd, 42, told the Sun-Times.

“If they would’ve gotten something incited with the police, who’s gotta deal with it tomorrow? The community. Not them.

“They’ll be somewhere sipping sangria somewhere. I’m telling you like it is.”

The march dispersed after less than an hour following the standoff, with an organizer saying they did not feel safe.

“We refuse to let anyone come to Englewood and tear it up,” one local, Charles McKenzie, told the station.

Even a grandmother of Allen — who was struck by return fire after shooting at cops Sunday, triggering the looting — lashed out at the carnage, saying there is “no excuse” for it.

“I don’t agree with the looting because that’s just an excuse to get what they want,” Joyce Brown told the Sun-Times.

A Chicago Black Lives Matter organizer, Ariel Atkins, previously defended the looting, calling it a “reparation.

Better context mentioning the shooting, from a right-centre source, not a Murdock rag.

So in summary - the BLM crowd rumored that the police shot and killed an unarmed juvenile - In reality they police shot an adult who was shooting at them & the criminal shooter survived.

BLM took their fabricated narrative as an excuse to riot & loot to obtain some "repartations" - and many residents of the city are sick of it.

Glad we established the actual narrative.

Not really. Why she would say something that seems too much of a gift to the right wing?

Because she sincerely believed the boy was unarmed she says and was pissed off.

"About 2:30 p.m. Sunday, police said, they responded to a call of a man with a gun in Englewood. Deputy Chief Yolanda Talley said the man, later identified as 20-year-old Latrell Allen, fled when approached by officers, only to turn and fire at them. The officers shot back and wounded the man, she said, but authorities could offer no body camera footage to confirm their account."

This is from a right leaning but not pure propoganda rag.

A shooting with no body camera footage GWB? Don't you think maybe that factored in to her suspicion and anger?

So as I stated the guy shot at the cops.

According to BLM the guy magically entered a time machine is only 15 years old as well --- also BLM claimed Latrell Allen was dead... Somehow he magically has been resurrected.

    Left centre Sun Times.

"Assistant Public Defender Scott Finger questioned why the officers were not wearing body cameras, stressing such footage would have been valuable in backing up their account of the shooting.

“In 2020, [Chicago police] can’t get cameras on these officers?” Finger said. “I think there’s an expectation that every officer have a camera these days. The department is under a consent decree after the [U.S. Department of Justice] found a pattern of excessive force and civil rights violations. And they’re out there without cameras?”

Police also did not test Allen’s hands for gunshot residue, Finger said, telling Judge Susana Ortiz that she could draw her own “inferences” as to why."

Why is a good why here. Look, accepting the guy had a felony change for burglary, the police being this sloppy, still putting officers out without body cameras and not doing a residue test?

I have arrested 32 poachers who discharged their rifles. This was a significant charge escalation. This is an absolute crucial piece of evidence. It seems unlikely Finger (great name) would have said there was no residue test (unchallenged) to a judge if there was one.

Incompetent policing or more cover ups? The defund the police thing is that the police are not currency fit for purpose, not there should be no police.

Until there is evidence provided that the police misrepresented the events that occurred then I will support the police in this incident. Lack of body camera footage does not rise to the level of indicating the police did anything wrong -- especially when there is likely commercial building footage of the incident.

People are getting fed up and defending their neighborhoods. It won't be long before these Antifa and BLM thugs get their just deserts. It is going to be very ugly, the beatdowns. Police should just look the other way or altogether leave the area when it happens. Nobody would care if a couple of BLM and Antifa thugs get a beating they so richly deserve. Police can pick them up and then, charge them afterwards for destroying private property.
