Antibody tests support what’s been obvious: Covid-19 is much more lethal than the flu

Same here in Tampa. All the big box stores are open, and packed to the rim (people are stuck home painting, fixing stuff, etc). Grocery stores all packed.

Not like this at all in most parts of the U.S. Maybe this is why NYC is such a hotspot.

Most states in the U.S. are only allowing a limited number of people into food and big box stores --- based on their occupancy limits.

From a Bush era speech writer and trump's supporters have worked themselves into such a tizzy they know this is true but think the world will end without Don Don.

Can't quite get the right tweet linked directly but this one :

"But key point: Trump is consciously choosing to risk higher virus casualties in Q2 in hope of jolting the economy into revival in Q3 to save his re-election in Q4. It's a desperate gamble to save himself by sacrificing others. It's also not very likely to work. 4/x"

The models are an interpretation of known data. Covid-19 was a new virus 5 months ago. Our understanding of it has improved with time. Knocking the best analysis with the limited data we had at the time doesn’t help anything.

The Captain is not the worst person but he could not even calculate a percentage from two numbers recently. He has the Dunning Kruger effect on max setting when it comes to understanding data.

He has no capacity to learn. Like Jem it's all about a release, nothing to do with real things.

it's pointless trying to explain exponential growth to people who don't understand simple arithmetic.

This comes to mind, viewed from a different angle...

They certainly have a counter outside the door (Lowes, for example, Publix does not). Go inside and its packed.

Pointless to explain logic to those pushing a political narrative.
