  1. Can I play, too?

"All reversals are preceded by retraces."

Yeah, like all hangovers are preceded by drunks. EVERYTHING is preceded by retraces.

Jack rarely caveats anything. Go for the overarching generalization!

  2. My turn. I'm the resident mathematician.

"The end of trends occurs when the Gaussian reverses at the end of the prior Gaussian."

I do so miss the alternate spelling "Guassian", which for years has suggested to me a touch of lysdexia. Jack clearly has an amanuensis now. Poor girl! "You want me to do what? Oh, I thought you said 'Shell my specking!' "

Carl Friedrich must be rolling in his revered grave at the application of a statistical description to a brief time series which is too short even to qualify for the description "expected value".

What exactly does "reverse" mean? End-for-end? Downside-up? Outside-in? I mean, it's a fucking lumpy hump, for Christ's sake! Not a well-defined mathematical concept.

Un mystere. Un boulle de gomme.

  3. Jack exhibits his deep knowledge of advanced neuroscience:

"As a person grows, his mind located in the physical brain and other remote locations, also "grows". The brain is basically a huge compartmentalized storage site and it is complimented {sic} by a bio chemical manufacturing factory. The outer part, called grey matter, is where the mind and memory are located."

I could continue to quote, but I will spare us all the embarrassment. I know what remote locations by mind is often located in, but I'm not sure what Jack means. Does the "outer part" include the "remote locations"? I really want to be enlightened.

We knew more than THAT about the brain in MY day.

  5. Been thinking about it and I have to say I have changed my mind.

I now believe that it is a good thing, that there is a thread like this especially for folks who are a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic.

You can play here, pretending that you know something about trading, or that you actually trade, and no one knows the difference. On top of that, when you get back to your home planet, you have a nice story to tell your folks.

I really do apologize for getting testy with you. I encourage you all to keep on as you were. You are (some of you are) living proof that "we are not alone"..

    Good job aliens.

  6. Thank you, Steve. It's nice to be appreciated. Please do come visit any time your self-esteem needs re-invigoration. And try to learn the difference between satire and REAL foolishness. I think I have made it patently clear where you can find the later. Trade well Monday, and please stay away from NQ.

  7. As my friend Arouet might say "This is so stupid it makes my teeth hurt."

"Fight or flee is the cardinal survival mechanism of most fauna and flora in existence."

I don't know about you, but when the flora in my back yard get enough mobility to flee, I am pulling up stakes and moving. I already have bad dreams about the runners from my philodendron creeping up my ass at night.

I won't even comment about "...every animal and plant has in its brain..." My mother used to scramble brains in with the eggs, and if I believed plants had brains I would have to quit eating altogether. Tomato spongiform encephalitis, anyone?

Do YOU want to take trading advice from a man who believes that plants have BRAINS?

Steve! Steve! Does that move US up a notch on your crazies list?

  8. Hello

Frankly this little patch of paradise isn't high on my "list of things to worry about".

Does seem however that it is important enough that you have devoted a yourself to creating a "cast of thousands" to populate your fantasy world.

  10. Here is the most egregious misinformation of all:

"Volume...may be used as a leading indicator of price."

I challenge anyone to show me a chart on any intraday time scale for ES or any other index future that proves this.
