Yes but,... you were wasting your time watching them waste their time, seems like a big waste of time to me.

I like to waste my employers time, almost fired for it once, could happen for real some day, at which time I will be a trader for real so getting fired could be a good thing.

Someone asked me "when did you start working here?". I told them "right after they threatened to fire me". He thought I was joking.

One thing everybody should keep in mind when their trade carroms off the left line and heads for the right line and overshoots, and they reverse the position thinking it is a channel breakout, then it reverses again and they get stopped out the second time: YOU ARE NOT JACK!! Jack could stare down that market and have it completely cowed in a couple of ticks while trading a few other markets. Jack is the greatest, long live Jack!!

Seriously, I learned a couple of good things from Jack's posts and can only understand about 10% of it all to boot.

  2. I personally follow and read spydertraders posts as he has lots of value to add. Who wouldnt follow spyders posts after he posted doubling his money within a year in a public forum for everyone to see(specifically using Jacks stuff).

After perusing Hypos and 666s posts after spyder brought my interest to this thread, that was my reply. They are wasting their precious time and withering away..........

They surely arent making any progress.

  4. Thank you for the clarification. As I have (unsuccessfully) attempted to communicate to you in the past, you continue to post inaccurate assumptions. However, I have no desire to convince you otherwise. I have seen with my own eyes, the validity of both The Equities and Futures Methods. Understand, I don't question the validity of your tests, or even the parameters used. I simply have traded both methods profitably. Until two weeks ago, I couldn't tell you the difference between an NQ tic and a Deer Tick. Friday, I sat in the ET Chatroom posting ES trades in real time. Now, I have no idea what 75% of the "Futures Vocabulary" (IF1 IF2, Gaussian, Stretch / Squeeze, Stall, Hitch, etc.) stands for, but I 'see' how the PV relationship (so evident in equities) plays a starring role when trading the ES. I have some work to do yet. I need enough screen time (and two weeks is no where near enough to gain the confidence required) in order to build a track record of consistency.

I don't have blind faith in an untested and unproven method. I have traded it, and judging from the comments of those who have seen my results, I have done quite well over the last two weeks - by any standard. I have no plans to post the success rate, as I know full well the controversy it would create. Again, I do not post in an attempt to convince anyone of the validity of Jack's Methods. I encourage everyone to seek knowledge themselves, and not simply take someone's (anyone's - including my own) word that the system does or does not work. Everyone has a brain to use, and I highly recommend engaging it before arriving at a foregone conclusion.

    Good trading to you all.

  5. At one time ....

The qualifications of those that believed the earth revolved around the sun overwhelmed the qualifications of those that had the temerity to suggest otherwise.

    How'd that work out?

O.K., we all get it. You (and others) have tested and retested, and you couldn't find a way to make the (futures) methods profitable. Great. Good for you. We all understand.

But now, you want to make it personal. Perhaps, the rant filled diatribe you posted above reveals more about your own character (flaws) than those, through aspersion and innuendo, you attempted to discredit. Most people left behind schoolyard games of 'comparing their Johnsons' long ago. As a result, I have no interest in playing. As one who often enjoys your well-written prose and sartorially wit, I find your latest contributions to the discussion disappointing at best.

Jack and Liz have done nothing but give of their time, money and knowledge to individuals from all walks of life - without any interest in remuneration. In addition, I personally credit Nwbprop's explanations of channel drawing for making my own trading more consistant. These are good people - without question. I count myself fortunate to have made their acquaintance.

Howl at the moon all you like. Rail against the PV relationship to your heart's content, but really, let's not sink to making it personal. It serves no purpose.

    Good trading to you.

  7. Spydie, this is a thread about intraday trading of index futures. Can you come up with anything more on-topic than my own obvious insanity? I have talked about block trades, VWAP, exhaustion, MM games, oil, etc. WTF have YOU contributed? I deeply respect your swing trading. It ain't my style, I haven't got your patience or tenacity. But if you want to play MY game: "You have to live the dues if you want to play the blues!"

It is really quite egocentric of you, Spydertrader, to believe that just because you don't agree with a poster that he is wrong and unsupported by other readers. Perhaps you should use logic and cite your own experiences rather than superciliously putting down those you disagree with. And who asked you, anyway? No one here has questioned Jack's swing trading method, which you prove so admirably. Could it be that you suffer from the irrational emotions that you accuse us of? If you trade indra-day profitably, I for one would be pleased to hear how you do it. Otherwise, piss off!

  9. I recommend re-reading my posts. You've entirely missed the point. I encourage skepticism, but at the same time, I see no need to make the discussion personal. With respect to your conclusion that because I disagree with a poster, I must therefore have decided he / she must be wrong, once again you missed the mark. I have no doubt Trader666, hypostomus (and whomever else doubts the validity of Jack's Futures Methods), fully believes they have reached a correct conclusion. I merely pointed out the illogical conclusion of 'correctness' reached by counting noses. Simply because more people believe something to be true, doesn't equate to a 'proof' of truth now does it.

  10. Keep in mind, I still consider myself a rookie at this, but remain happy to help anyway I can. How would you prefer I provide you assistance toward how I trade the ES futures? A Chart? An explanation? A diagram of some sort? I don't want anyone (not you of course) claiming later I obfuscated and provided unclear commentary.

Let me know, and I'll do my best to provide the information you seek.
